First time visiting this cafe and first impressions of the shop itself were great however after walking to the back of the shop to arrive at the counter to order I found myself standing in front of a woman who appeared to be so bothered by having to take my order.
After ordering she gave me a table number and that was it, come to think of it, the only two words she said to me that entire encounter was 'that it?' before taking my money.
I went to sit down and waited about 10 minutes before going back to the counter to ask if I should pick up my roll from there or if it will be brought to my table. Different woman stared blankly into my soul and frowned with confusion and asked me if I was in the wrong place.
I sat back down and my food eventually came out. Roll was dry and hard, and actually not that nice at all. Dads meat pie also appeared to be a day or 2 old.
As we were finishing up the woman who took our order waited next to our table and watched us stack the plates - we said a grateful 'thanks so much' as she cleared our table and she just stared at us without saying a word, then mumbled 'ok'.
If I could give 0 stars for service and half a star for food I would.
Won't be going back, such a shame because I really...

There isn't a 'queue here' sign for where they want you to line up and wait to be served, so there were about 6 people waiting to be served in the wrong spot (which happened to be the counter). Mind you, there was a staff member here serving people who were in the 'correct' spot, but failed to let any of us know.
10 minutes later, we're told to move to the correct spot, which was now an actual line.
At this point, she starts serving the people that come to the counter, and not those that have lined up - all while giving us dirty looks.
What even?
Not only was she and her co-workers quite rude, they spent about 5 minutes per customer, which is literally just grabbing xyz bakery treat from the shelf and handing it to the customer.
It always puzzles me why establishments like these will put so many staff members on at a time, but fail to ensure they're working at proper standards.
On the contrary, the food was quite good.
Allow for some time if you're visiting during busy hours, I've never seen so many 'headless' chooks...
Read moreThe lack of customer service that my wife and I received from a lady at the checkout was mind boggling. We approached with a âhey how are youâ and received no reply. She stared blankly into our souls as if we had done something to annoy her. When it was time to receive my croissant, she simply stood behind the counter with the bag in her hand, I grabbed it and did what humans do and used my manners by saying thank you and acknowledging her existence. Again, I was greeted with a blank stare and no response. Iâm sorry, but if you work in customer service, you really need to know basic human interaction and social skills. Not to mention, my âwarmed upâ croissant was that soggy that it fell apart when I tried to eat it. No care factor at all and just outright rude and cold customer service. First and last time visiting this...
