I went in for a quick drive thru breaky at 9:53am on 27/11/23 prior to getting my car serviced at the nearby dealership. I ordered on the drive thru mic then drove in to pay at the next window. As I provided my Maccas code from the app, the attendant scolded me and demanded to provide my code on the microphone at the menu board and not when I'm about to pay next time, but for now, she would gladly accept the code prior my paying.
I explained that I've been ordering drive thru and giving Maccas code when I'm about to pay at drive thru McDonald's branches and I've never had to deal with this inconvenience or lack of courtesy from a drive thru attendant. I then asked for managers name and hers but she refused to provide that information to either buy some time or avoid being identified. She dismissed her actions as nothing wrong and said please stop getting disappointed at her and to please speak to the duty manager instead.
I spoke to the shift runner who then backed her up, refused to provide her name or the store managers name, and implied she did nothing wrong but apologised on her behalf and said he would report this to the store manager (but failed to get my contact details and followed up with me)
The following day on 28/12/23 at 3:55pm I rang to report the matter and again the on duty manager refused to give her name and the name of the store manager ( it seems this branch is teaming up and protecting/shielding each other from their own wrong doing and from customer complaints and reports ) but got my details and said the store manager a "she" will contact me to follow up if that person believes there is a need to (talk about another case of lack of professionalism and careful handling of complaints.)
I then rang McDonald's head office immediately to complain about the incident and they carefully took my details and report it to the store manager.
At 855pm I get an email from "Dylan" (not a "she") at the store though he did not say what his position was at the store. He said he will discuss this with the team but didn't say what he will do to rectify the situation and what reward I would get for reporting the matter and for making me feel better for all the trouble I went through in that store. (He didn't bother calling me and just sent a quick email instead as if the matter didn't have any urgency)
As of this morning 29-12-23 Case number 3113-17679 is still not rectified. Customer satisfaction is still pending. At the time of this review a 1-star rating was given to the restaurant
UPDATE
ON Saturday I finally received a call from Dylan who apologised and explained that the restaurant manager was on leave. He also said a meeting was arranged for the the three individuals whom he identified correctly and corrective action was to be implemented. Finally he offered McDonald's vouchers for all my trouble☮️✌️👍😁. Rating has been...
Read moreI must share my experience of McDonald’s fountain gate, because I believe that people deserve much better from this particular McDonalds, and all McDonalds considering they are a multi billion dollar fast food chain who take their customers wholly for granted! Did visit the Fountain Gate store on the 29/05/2023 at 1.03 am. I was first served through the drive through, I ordered a large 10 nugget meal with a Coke Zero. Pleasant enough service. Food was served, all was fine. That is until the meal I asked to be cooked “fresh” even though this in McDonald’s terms is just a reheat, seen my nuggets temporarily dipped in oil for a couple of seconds and pulled back out with oil literally dripping all over me as I pulled one out discovering the rest was the same! Fries were literally lukewarm if that. It’s hardly a cheap meal at $15 per pop now which makes it all the more infuriating. Drove back through explained politely what was done. Assured they would be cooked up hot this time round. After a 7 minute wait brought out to me. Nuggets looked very dark this time round, they served me up hot & spicy nuggets without advising me of this (in an effort I believe to conceal the fact the nuggets were end of the night and been re-heated/cooked). Too bad I didn’t know and took a couple of bites of one. Being a bad asthmatic and with copd this literally sent my whole body into near shock and my throat started to close up!! Fries this time were heated up. Clearly the cashier who served me or whomever served my meal thinks customers can’t differentiate between something that is hot on the inside vs hot on the outside considering this batch was barely lukewarm inside the nuggets! I am severely appalled at both the disdain and arrogance of the workers on duty at this store, the genuine lack of concern or consideration when being so underhanded considering not just I, but many have certain medical conditions. Should bear a sign stating Eat at own risk at this stage and that goes for ANY McDonald’s store! So third time I walked in and was assured it would be done correctly and to “wait in parking bay”. No thanks I replied, I’ll wait right here. I was trying to regain my composure considering the shock my whole body went into and besides that I was having a hard time breathing anyhow! I am absolutely without a doubt disgusted. Do save yourself the trouble of ever visiting the fountain gate store as this seems to be an all too consistent theme there (as anybody unfortunate enough to visit due to proximity), will no doubt inform you. This store should have closed down years ago. All I got for this appalling slackness? A small fries yes cheers for nearly sending me into anaphylactic shock and 3 trips between the drive thru and store some 34 minutes later. You are a disgrace. That is putting it...
Read moreI ordered through Uber eats a monopoly classic Angus bundle and not only I got the complete wrong order! I understand one or even maybe 2 items to be wrong or not properly done as requested but the WHOLE order? And that’s not even the worse part! but the burger is not even what is meant to be on the recite attached to the burger box as it says it was an eat-in order bacon Angus and the burger inside is deftly NOT that, it didn’t even had bacon in it!!!, giving the feel that this burger must of been homeless and someone found the next loose recite from the floor and just stick it in the homeless burger to just give it a name kinda saying here you go! and then place it on a random bag with other homeless chips. The order was cold and stale and the actual Angus meat burger looked so dry I just got thirsty by looking at it and not appetising in the slight-less it was just a very sad scene, the drink was spilled in the bag, no ice-cream, just a disaster. I was really looking forward to my order thinking McDonald’s takes pride in their products and for a multimillion if not billions company you would expect for them to drop a bit of coins to make things at least to look appetising. Also I found out from this experience that McDonald’s does not have a ready available costumer services at least linked through Uber eats but rather had to go to your website to just find my self with ‘send us a message’, just pathetic honestly, McDonald’s should have a costumer support for online orders during opening hours to at least have the option to call or live message and hopefully arrange a refund plus your correct order delivered on that same day due to the mistake McDonald’s made with your order, you know like many restaurants that do delivery actually do!. I’m still a paying costumer which I know I will be brushed off as I’m sure many people in similar situations get but I still deserve some respect or at least a chance to fix the mistake so I can still enjoy my meal that I planned to have! Not just some homeless random food items! I mean maybe if it would of been a bag full of cash I maybe would of been different experience but sadly not this time. It just shows the poor attention to detail and lack of experience nor care by the team and supervision in the working kitchen floor, which I do feel bad for the actual young workers in there as I know they get exploited for pennies. I will not order again from narre Warren McDonald’s, but instead I’ll stick to hungry jacks next time, at least they have not disappointed this bad in the past. Cordially, Very...
