A Flavorful Delight at Melbourne Mirchi: Chicken Dum Biryani Worth Every Penny I recently had the pleasure of dining at Melbourne Mirchi, and I must say, it was an absolute treat for my taste buds. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the Chicken Dum Biryani, which left me craving for more. Not only was it incredibly delicious, but it also offered great value for money at just 12.99 AUD. The Chicken Dum Biryani at Melbourne Mirchi was a true culinary masterpiece. The fragrant basmati rice, tender chicken pieces, and aromatic blend of spices created a symphony of flavors that delighted my senses. Each bite was a burst of taste, with the perfect balance of spices and the succulent chicken adding a delightful touch. The biryani was cooked to perfection, with the rice grains perfectly cooked and the flavors infused in every morsel. One of the standout aspects of Melbourne Mirchi is the affordability of their dishes. Despite the exceptional quality and taste, the prices are incredibly reasonable. The Chicken Dum Biryani, priced at just 12.99 AUD, provides excellent value for money considering the generous portion size and the rich flavors it offers. Located near Footscray Station, Melbourne Mirchi is conveniently accessible for both locals and visitors. The restaurant's proximity to the station makes it a convenient choice for those looking for a satisfying meal after a long day of travel or work. Melbourne Mirchi is a hidden gem for lovers of Indian cuisine, and their Chicken Dum Biryani is an absolute must-try. With its unbeatable taste, generous portion size, and affordable price of 12.99 AUD, it offers exceptional value for money. Taj, the owner, adds a personal touch to the dining experience, making it even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Melbourne Mirchi to anyone seeking a flavorful and satisfying meal near Footscray Station.

oat curry – Goat soft & had a pleasant strong taste. Gravy spicy & very good. Chicken curry – Yummy chicken & gravy. Potato & paneer dumplings – Really good & quite spicy. Chickpea curry – Very good & chickpeas just the right texture. Cauli, potato & pea masala – Tasty but would skip next time for more Chickpea curry or Dumplings. Paneer curry – Tasty soft cheese & accompanying onion & capsicum sauce. Flavoured rice – Inc. spices, paneer & onion. Very good.

Amazing value and great quality food. Loved that the curries were not oily like the cheap fast food types. The biryani was beautifully fragrant. Portions were hearty too, the two of us could not finish two mains. It was a bit sad to see an empty restaurant at 7pm when we walked in, and there was also not a lot of curries available to select from. Hope the quietness was due to it being a weeknight as this restaurant deserves more love and local support!

On around Diwali I called and asked if they were open. They said just for sweets. But I said can u pls prepare a take away order. And the guy agreed and took the order - aloo gobhi and aloo pranthas. I reached the shop after 20 min, the guy said just 15 min pls. I went around and came back around 15 min. He said aloo gobhi is ready and he will prepare aloo pranthas now. I was getting late and he kept doing something in the kitchen, so after 10 min I said pls pack aloo gobhi I can't wait for pranthas to be cooked as I have given order half an hour ago ( Now I do realise that was little rude and not informing him that I was getting late was also mess up). Anyways I ate aloo gobhi it was delicious so I wrote a thank u note and apologized via message. Next time I went , the guy was rude which is expected but my intention was to clear the air from last time. However he said I am very busy, ur order will take half an hour. I tried to apologize for last time and he said LOOK I AM VERY BUSY PLEASE DON'T DISTURB. Work on your arrogance mate, this kind of customer service will lead you to grounds. Also I am giving 5 stars and not 1⭐ because I know this is new restaurant and I don't want to spoil your rating. You will never see me at your restaurant for...

This is my household favourite Indian restaurant as a local to Footscray of 7 years. Please give them your money! They work very hard and deserve it. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. They truly nourish the Footscray community with their Thalis and amazing variety of Indian favourites from their very skilled chefs. Their chefs rotate and are all so friendly and talented cooks. The staff are so kind and welcoming. Definitely come here with a group so you can order more and try more things, or come in by yourself and get a Thali. You won’t regret it. Thank you all for...
