African Calabash Restaurant is more than just a dining spot; it's a comforting home away from home where the warm embrace of its owner envelops you as you step through the door. From the moment you enter, you're greeted with genuine hospitality that instantly makes you feel like family. The ambiance is not just clean, but imbued with a sense of peace and sometimes laughter, as if every corner of the space is designed to soothe the soul. But what truly sets African Calabash apart is its culinary offerings. The meals served here are not just delicious; they're healing, nourishing both body and spirit with every bite.I find myself returning here very, very, very often, and each time, I'm met with the same consistency and brilliance in quality that keeps me coming back for more. Whether it's a traditional dish or a modern interpretation, every plate showcases the expertise and passion of the kitchen staff. I would never take time out to review something I didn’t genuinely enjoy and believe will make the world happy after one bite, African Calabash Restaurant is a gem in the culinary landscape and is still under cover, where exceptional food meets unparalleled hospitality. It's not just a place to eat; it's an experience that leaves you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and grateful for the opportunity to savor such remarkable cuisine in the company of such...

I use to dine in The African Calabash, tonight, I was very hungry, had a hunger for fufu, I had ordered ogbono from here many times so what could go wrong right?.... Well, Doordash arrived, I was starved!! Open my yam fufu an ogbono an omg! This wasn't ogbono, this is palm oil soup.. All I could taste was a sickening thickness of palm oil, I could barely get through the meat.. I call up, I complained, they told me they'd send me another, I was so appreciative, so thankful of them, no argument just sending me it.. Then what did I receive?... Another oil soup.. Couldn't down the fufu over the oil soup an just pushed down more meat.. I can never order from this place again. So disappointing, the only restaurant I know that sells fufu around me.. I may be white, I still know my soup, my sons family they all from Africa I eat soups all the time, eaten every fufu there is an many soups.. I'll just stick to being hungry for it till I go...

I HAD my inlaws coming in from abroad.

I have been here before, and on this occasion, the restaurant has really blown me away.

Its somwhat normal to see great eatries drop standard especially post making a name for themselves, but African Calabash seem to rather be improving on their already high culinary and aesthetic standards, and I was impressed.

Not only is the food good and hygienic, but it is also delicious with that homegrown feel.

This is the only restaurant where I feel completely at home in Australia.

I eat everything to the bones.

Back to my inlaws. I taught of nowhere to take them but the AFRICAN CALABASH.

My mother inlaw does not eat outside and she has super high standard for foods cooked not by her, , but she had went 360 and ordered for more from the African Calabash.

This place actually looks better than the...
