Stumbled into Mixue almost by accident but very glad we did! Mixue is a Chinese dessert/drink store with branches through Asia, that apparently strives to price itself lower than many of its direct competitors - something it’s able to do rather successfully!

Menu items include soft serve cones, sundaes and bubble tea drinks. The king cone is their signature - this is a $2 soft serve cone which is more costly than Maccas but looks substantially larger in photos. Alas it was sold out when we were there although presumably they use the same soft serve as in their sundaes which we were still able to obtain so perhaps they were out of…cones?

We had the brown sugar pearl sundae - there is nothing particularly complex about this but it’s still tasty and certainly hits the spot when you have that sweet craving. Soft serve texture was quite reasonable. We also had the mango pomelo taro drink which was not a flavour combo I’m familiar with but it was actually quite nice…especially for $5. At $8.60 for the 2 items combined, it felt like a steal compared to some places that set you back more for a single drink. Granted the size of this drink seemed to be somewhere between a regular and a large bubble tea size at other stores.

It’s a small store for takeaway only really. Busy when we were there but efficient service and quick turnover with a number system that made it easy to...

I used to give you 5 stars but Very poor customer service at 1.45pm today and not acceptable. (@ Elizabeth St store)

I ordered the fresh lemonade as usual standard ice and sugar. I get it almost every week and the last order was last Tuesday. However today the drink is very sour. I ask the girl to add a bit more sugar/ or sugar syrup and explain very sour. The girl told me she can't because their sugar is sour and even add their sugar in will be more sour???? (then why you ask for sugar levels option????) she offers to add water. I said it very sour not only sour and ask her you should try. She said she already try and refuse again. then she started calling/talking in Chinese with her colleague on the phone. She passed her phone to me and I heard a man with strong Chinese accent saying their sugar is sour and refuse to add sugar.

it's 5.5 sugar on the label (photo attach). So technically you can do full sugar level here. But the staff still made it difficult and refuse to add sugar ....very poor service! Staff just doesn't want to peel off the seal , add sugar and...

I love Mixue!!! I don’t have a lot of photos with the ice cream cause I’d INHALE them immediately. My recommendation is the signature king cone - the ice cream has the sweet milk aroma to it and the crispy cone together is just perfect. Their fruity drinks are really good and my no.1 pick for them is strawberry bobo. So fruity and refreshing!!! I also was told by my sister that the milk tea taste just like Gongcha 😳

You might be intimidated by the amount of people waiting and what you might see as long queue, but the turnover rate is incredible. I never had to wait as long as I expected no matter how crowded I thought it was. Big kudos for the fast a seamless and service! On top of that everything is very affordable. Feels like poor people could have something nice for once, you know.

I took everyone I love to Mixue and when I won the plushie I was so happy I could cry

Glory to the Snow King. I wait patiently for your arrival to the Southern Cross station branch.

I LOVE YOU AND YOU LOVE ME MIXUE ICE CREAM...

Tried Mixue Melbourne and honestly it’s such a nice low budget dessert spot! Their King cone so cheap only $2.50, That’s so cheap right??? Prices are so affordable, but the quality still feels great. Perfect for anyone craving something sweet without spending much 🧋✨ Would definitely come back to try more flavors!
