Another run of the mill bahn mi. The bread was more hot dog roll than bahn mi. Not crusty, flakey crumbs, and certainly wasn't light and airy inside. The use of butter and pate was nice to see. However, very little pate was put on the roll. Next came the fillings. Carrot, coriander, chilli, diakon, cucumber, and white onion. The carrot didn't seem to have any pickle to it (or very little at best). The diakon was sweet, crunchy, and pickled nicely. The cucumber was cut into tiny batons and white onion, well that is a 1st for me. The coriander and chilli were as you'd expect. The chilli was so hot, but that only lasted a few seconds. The pork belly itself wasn't great. The crackle was tough to the bite and felt really solid. The sauce put on at the end was really sweet, and there was a lot of sauce put on and took too much away from the other ingredients. The roll was then heated in a grill to finish it off. By the time I finished the bahn mi, there was a little pool of sauce in the bottom of the bag from the amount of sauce and then being heated made it runny. Overall, it was another bahn mi. A couple of small changes, and it could be a...

Today I had an urgent business to go to Glen Huntly, and I had the opportunity to eat what I can call the best Pho in town. A hot bowl of Pho with perfectly cooked noodles, delicious meat, perfectly cooked beef balls, fresh bean sprouts, and herbs. Oh, and I ordered a cup of Vietnamese coffee, which I think is the best I've ever had. *As for the pictures because the soup was so delicious I had to "drink" it all 🤤

The service was friendly and helpful, the restaurant was clean and cozy.

If you're a fan of Asian food like me, I don't think you'll want to miss this restaurant. They have a lot of other diverse dishes that I'm sure I'll try when I have the chance to come back

Jan 25 Today Moc Roll sorted a craving for a crispy pork Bánh Mi! Not sure why this one had raw white onion, don't recall that ingredient being in the roll in the past also no pâté? In my opinion, although it was really tasty, it wasn't to their usual standard. .................................................................................................... Great crispy pork bánh mi and great flavoured Grilled Chicken Phở with a generous amount of chicken. We've recommended Môc Roll to our friends as we sure needed a good Vietnamese street food eatery in our...
