This is our second disappointing experience at Monti. We had a booking at 10:45 am, ordered at 11am, and did not receive our food until 12:30 (90 mins after ordering). We appreciate this was mothers day and anticipated some delays, but with a 5, 4 and 2 year old in our group it was a terrible experience.

Even more disappointing was the lack of ability to manage our expectations. From 45 mins after ordering we repeatedly asked staff where are order was, to be advised over and over 'its up next, its coming now, etc'. This was obviously inaccurate as we waited an additional 45 mins for the food to arrive. Had the staff explained the trouble they were having and honestly told us 'its at least 30 mins away', one of us in the party could have taken our children to the park for 30 mins.

When the food arrived we were equally disappointed. The fruit salad comprised a chopped green apple, banana, 4 blueberries and 2 strawberries. The fritters were small and burned. On a positive note, the mushroom toasty was good!

Through this experience the staff were always polite to us, just uninformed and unable to accurately tell us when the food would arrive.

20 mins after receiving our food, the staff asked us how long we would be as the next guests were waiting for the table. We got out of there as quickly as possible to be considerate to the next guests (who also had young children), but we were quite shocked the staff asked us!

Again, managing expectations; provide the kids a free muffin while waiting, communicate timing accurately, free drinks etc would all have mitigated our overwhelming negative experience here.

For completeness I note Monti is currently offering a free muffin for anyone to do a google review. Therefore the latest influx of short positive reviews may...

If you’re on the lookout for the perfect brunch spot to enjoy with your girlies, a date, or even the whole family, Monti in Albert Park is where you need to be. Tucked away among the quiet residential streets, Monti offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere that feels like a hidden gem.

The Menemen was a standout with its Turkish-style eggs, a rich tomato-based sauce, chili, and greens, all served with warm Turkish bread – light, refreshing, and full of flavor. The real star, however, was the steak sandwich: perfectly cooked rump steak on Turkish pide with crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, grilled onions, beetroot relish, and provolone, served alongside a generous portion of fries. Juicy, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. And don’t miss the ricotta hotcakes – a must-try, topped with cinnamon parfait, toasted oats, and a delightful apple and rhubarb compote, making for the perfect, balanced ending to your meal. We also loved their green smoothie and warrior smoothie, which were refreshing and packed with goodness.

Whether you’re after great food, good vibes, or just a new go-to brunch spot, Monti is the place....

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Monti Cafe. and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish, this restaurant truly stands out for its incredible food and welcoming atmosphere.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The ambiance was perfect-elegant yet cozy, making it an ideal spot for both intimate catchups and gatherings with friends.

Now, onto the food: simply outstanding! We had multiple dishes, Folded eggs, Saganaki, and Fritters. The flavours were perfectly balanced, and it set the tone for what was to come. The presentation was beautiful, and each bite was a burst of flavor. It was clear that only the freshest ingredients were used, and the chef's skill was evident in every aspect of the dish.

Overall, Monti Cafe exceeded all my expectations. The combination of exquisite food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone in Albert Park. I can't wait to return and try more from their diverse menu. Highly...

I absolutely love this cafe built into a little cottage serving up Turkish inspired brunch classics😮‍💨 Even since the change in ownership, the food remains to be amazing and I always find myself going back as a local of the area🙏🏻✅ 📍Monti, Albert Park #melbourne #melbournefoodie #melbourneeats #melbournefood #melbeats #monti #brunch #menemen #manti #toastie #breakfast #cafe #albertpark @Monti Albert Park #CapCut

I ordered the Baked Eggs which had a really generous serving of sujuk sausage and soft Turkish bread. Overall I enjoyed the dish however i thought it needed more depth of flavour, it was abit bland. Some potential here. The Chilli Scramble was delicious, I loved the addition of the Zhug (a middle eastern green spicy sauce) which I have never had before. It was also served with a toasted sesame baguette! The corn fritters were also nice and fresh, served with an avocado mousse. I felt they were underseasoned but that didn’t stop us from finishing them all. 🌶 Whenever I see Manti on a menu I must order it. Small Turkish dumplings served in a perfectly balanced sauce of burnt butter, Aleppo pepper and fermented garlic yogurt. Heavenly! This was my second visit to Monti and we were very impressed, especially by the creativity and their massive portion sizes. You definitely don’t have to second guess your value for money here. A reliable brunch in Albert Park. ⭐️ 4.3/5 (Great)
