We always go here to get some good food every time we get a chance, we always recommend it to people when they ask for a decent Korean restaurant recommendation despite the shrink-flation. We've been regulars for years even before the pandemic.
But during our last visit, there's this new employee that made things terrible. He looks like he's in his early 20s, slim build.
We booked a table around 8, the staff gladly accepted. We called to say we're going to be late by 10 mins, I asked if it's still ok if not then we can just go somewhere else, no dramas. But they still say it's ok so we went. We were sat down and got our food within a few moments, about 8:35 we were more than halfway done dining since we did not order much anyway.
We ordered kimchi soup and politely asked if we could have extra spoons and bowls so we can share it and be out of the door before they close. This guy says "sorry we don't have any spoons and bowls left they're all being washed". I heard his female colleague ask him what he said to me after I walked away and they both laughed when he told her. Clearly the guy was trying to act cool so he can impress her. He didn't even check the back or look around if they really ran out.
I walked away since I didn't want to argue but also thinking he'll provide what we asked right after since that's just common sense and basic customer service, he didn't, so my family members asked him again. He said the same thing to them with a smug on his face. But when we asked him why can't provide he just turned around and provided 2 spoons that were just lying around anyway after not even a minute and said "are you happy with this?" and walked away with a bigger smug on his face.
I've worked in hospitality before and know how quick and easy it is to wash a few spoons and bowls, it doesn't even take 5 mins especially since you're using stainless ones.
Mun Kitchen, we won't be back soon. And you won't be the place we'd...
Read moreWent to Mun's Korean kitchen and saw that it was very busy on a weekday night. Decided to takeaway two portions of original fried chicken and was told to wait 20 minutes for the order. The order only came through after 40 minutes of waiting, and instead of being apologetic for making us wait for so long, I received poor attitude from the staff (I also saw that other customers were annoyed from the long waiting time). Upon returning home, I found that my fried chicken had little meat and was served with small portions. The sauces that came with it was not good. Garnish was stingy as well. I cannot express how disappointing it is for a fried chicken to be so badly made, since it's supposedly made by Korean people (where korean fried chicken is yummy; at least from other places in the city). Please spare yourself the trouble of not ordering fried chicken from here. Unless the menu or service improves, I will not be coming...
Read moreWe always support local business. However, we were disappointed by this place. Me and my family went last Saturday and it was busy so we were told that we needed to wait about 1 hour to get seat, that was reasonable but we thought we’d come back next time. We were told to make booking in advance. Today I rang at 3pm to make a booking but no body answered so I left a message to make the booking. Until 6 pm we didn’t get back from the restaurant so I rang again then I was told that they were fully booked and we could try to walk in. I told them I left message but nobody called me back then they said they didn’t have my number on miscalls. So we went to the Mexican where next to them. When we walked pass this restaurant we saw that half of the restaurant was empty while there were no reservation sign on the empty tables. It’s the second time they lost our custom and we won’t be going...
