Went to Rococo one Saturday night on a whim and was very impressed. For a place that is a little out of the way it was very nice. We were seated outside and the young lady that was looking after us was very attentive. Pretty good little wine selection however the staff may need to attend a wine training and work on their knowlage a little bit, the waitress needed to go and ask someone else for the answer to the question we asked about the wine. My partner had a risotto, I had gnocci and both dishes were very nice and full of flavour. The foccassia we had for starters was excellent in my opinion. For dessert we ordered the frangelico ice cream. This took a very long time to come out but again kudos to the waitress, she noticed we had been waiting and followed up for us. The ice cream was worth the wait though, we both loved it and the coffees. All in all a good restaurant and we will definitely be going back.

We booked a table for an early dinner, 5:30pm on a Saturday. Place had a great vibe to it, food was excellent. We had vegan pizza, risotto, salad and lasagne and everything was just delicious. We were served by Johanna who was kind and accomodating especially to our little 3 year old. Only complains I have are, music was a tad loud tough wouldn’t have been a big deal if we didn’t have our 3 year old with us. Also, the chef or kitchen staff who kept yelling out food orders was really annoying. I don’t know if it was because we were really close to the kitchen and that’s why we heard it loud & clear! Our 3 year old was really uncomfortable most of the dining experience due to the loud environment which can probably be fixed easily. Hubby and I both agree though that the food and Johanna really redeemed the slightly uncomfortable experience.

Having been a fan of Rococo since my days visiting their original St Kilda location, I recently decided to try their Point Cook venue, focusing on their pizza menu this time, I have been to this venue a few times too but never had the chance to write a review . Rococo maintains an authentic Italian vibe, complete with a vast array of pizza options, though the prices are a bit on the higher side. The ambience, as always, was pleasant, contributing to a nice dining experience. The pizza was good, though not the best I've had in Melbourne. It's worth noting that while the service can be hit or miss depending on the day, the pasta dishes I've tried previously have always been delightful. Despite the few downsides, my overall experiences with Rococo keep me coming back. I will definitely return to enjoy more of what they have to offer.

Shocking Staff !! First of all Rococo food is fantastic it has never let me down , I was a regular @ Rococo Hawthorn & the staff @ Hawthorn branch is fantastic. This post is not against Rococo food everyone who has eaten at Rococo before knows the foods great , this post is about the staff at the Point Cook branch. specially the Manager at Point Cook Branch.

Now review on Point cook Rococo - today 09/07/2021 was my first time with my family @ Rococo Point Cook , we ordered Mushroom risotto , Linguine Broccoli ,Veg Soup , warm bread & olive oil. The waitress forgot to put through the mushroom risotto we got all the food except the risotto. By the time I asked the waitress that we were still waiting on the mushroom risotto she went to the kitchen spoke to the staff came back as said sorry apologies the kitchen is closed So the manager came apologised and seemed a nice lady - she offered us a free desert of our choice instead - I thought maybe she is making up for it I accepted and forgot about it , thought they made a genuine mistake and were trying to make up for it

Then we finished our meals and went to pay the the counter , the manager put through on the eftpos I paid on checking I realised she overcharged me so I asked her a copy of the bill She made an excuse the system is not printing the bill and said she would try the other computer She said the other computer is also not working She asked me to come tomorrow but I was persistent as I knew something was wrong I asked her to give me the menu I wanted to calculate the cost of my food I checked and added everything as per the menu I was overcharged by $37 So I asked her for a refund she said oh can you come tomorrow I will talk to the owner and give you a call we need to check what food you have eaten

I knew something fishy was going on as I could read from the lady’s body language she was up to something. so I asked her why can’t you refund me the money now I was firm about it Then she said “you don”t have to be hot headed about it” & the moment she said that I totally lost my cool.

I told her firstly your staff forgets the mains ,then then you over charge me on my credit card and then you are asking me to come back next day to get my money back can you see how ridiculous you sound. I just refused and asked her (Manager) why can’t you refund the difference now. Then when she saw that we were persistent she gave me my money back at once.

God Save Rococo Point Cook with staff like this they won’t last long !! Feel sad hopefully the owner reads this review and does something about it. I would hate to drive all the way to Hawthorn to...

Could do better

booking at 6:30pm, being told have to return the table by 8:00pm, place looking good, myself arrived late due to work, but my family arrived on time, entree and main was order with in 10 min of seating, entree didn't take too long to arrive, but this is where is gone downhill, was seating for 20min awaiting for the main to come, by 6:50pm have to ask staff if the main is on it way, but to find out it haven't being order......., but 7:30pm (only 1/2 hour left) I ask for the dessert menu that we a still waiting for the main, order two dessert together with coffee (personally asked to have to coffee to come out with the dessert). 7:38pm the main final arrived (not much time left to eat), but the dessert arrive just a few minute later, the waitress did apology on seeing the main have just started and dessert is out( i don't mind too much) but timing can be done a little better, after finish both the main and the dessert, the coffee still haven't arrive(7:50pm), then i get the attention of the waiter, ask if the coffee is coming(i order a latte, hot choc and a mocha), he say he will check, come back a minute later told me the latte and hot choc is order, but not the mocha, and asked if we like to order it.. we answered yes. at 7:52pm mocha arrive, i stacked up will the plate since we have finish. the manager have a few look into my table, like giving me a message time is up soon, but i still haven't have my coffee or my son hot choc, manager spoke to the staff and out dirty plate is clear of the table, by 7:57pm, i asked for my coffee and hot choc, then it was bring to us then, have like a minute to finish my drink, not enjoying any part of the food, left the table @ 8:00pm as promised. at that time there is other table of four who arrive before us and still there after we left. i am disappointed that so many mistake have being make, the manager haven't come apologise, but instead giving me the look a few time that your time is up, i couldn't tell if the food is good or not, but try finishing main course and dessert together in 12 minute, i think you will understand you are not enjoy the food, you are just putting the food into your stomach..... the only apologise only come from the waitress who have to put the dessert on my table and saw the main course was just deliver a...

I ate here last on 5th October evening.

While ordering a Bianco Salsiccia pizza, I said I wanted a “Bianco” and showed one of the waiters what I wanted by pointing at the menu simultaneously, with the menu tilted towards them so they could see which item I was pointing to. I did not say the full name as I was not sure how to pronounce “Salsiccia”. The waiter proceeded to say in a really rude tone “Bianco what? You need to say the full name so I don’t write down the wrong order”. This took me by surprise because there is only one item on the menu that starts with the word “Bianco”, and I also pointed at the menu item. It was also evident to me that he knew which item I was referring to based on his response of saying “Bianco what?”. Ironically, he also did not say the name of the pizza when affirming the choice of pizza we ordered right after this.

We finished our meal and our table was cleared by another waitress. We then got up to leave, and waited at the register to pay. After a few minutes of waiting, this same waiter went to the register and asked in an aggressive tone “You want a takeaway box?”. I was confused as there was no food left on our table at this time and we had not requested for a takeaway container at any point in time during the night. He continued to press on about this takeaway box, which was odd as again there was no food on the table and we had not requested one. I had to repeat multiple times that we didn’t request a takeaway box.

As my payment was being processed, the waiter said “Sorry about the group next to you, they’re…not the best”. I was really taken aback by this as we had not complained about the table next to us, nor had they acted unacceptably at any point of time when we were dining next to them.

Throughout the night I observed the same waiter speaking rudely to another family at another table.

I’m not sure whether it was because that night was a busy night for the restaurant, but the customer service was hugely disappointing and extremely rude and unprofessional. I usually go to Rococo to eat, and on this night had taken a friend who does not live in the area to the restaurant because of the food and ambience there, but we were both appalled and confused by the behaviour of this waiter...
