Must Visit! Musashi Ramen is a popular Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Russell Street, offering a wide range of delicious ramen dishes. The restaurant's interior is modern and minimalistic, creating a calming atmosphere that allows diners to fully immerse themselves in their meal. The menu at Musashi Ramen features a variety of ramen bowls, each made with their own unique broth and toppings. The standout dishes include the Tonkotsu Ramen, which is made with a rich and creamy pork broth, as well as the Spicy Miso Ramen, which is perfect for those who love a bit of heat in their food. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available, ensuring that everyone can find something they love. In addition to their ramen, Musashi Ramen also offers a selection of small plates, including gyoza and takoyaki. The atmosphere at Musashi Ramen is relaxed and welcoming, with attentive and friendly staff who are always happy to help with any special requests or dietary requirements. horrible service, the worker asked if my partner and i wanted to share a table with random customers or wait for a smaller table. we opted to wait and she quoted us 10-15 minutes. it was pouring rain so we went next door to buy a drink while we waited and came back in 5 minutes and watched her make eye contact with us and then seat a couple. we figured maybe she forgot so we waited again and saw she let her co worker know about us and then she walked off. i thought she remembered and wanted to let her co worker know to seat us next but then we watched her co worker seat yet again ANOTHER couple. so i came up to them and asked how much longer our table would be, the co worker said because of the line itll be another 20 minutes (insinuating that we should go to the back of the line) and i let her know that we came before and one of the other workers said shell seat us when the table became available and she said that the worker couldnt find us so our table was given to the next person. understandable if she told us to wait 5 minutes and we didnt come back in time but they were horrible and not understanding whatsoever. once again it was pouring rain (30/11/2023 pls check for yourself if you dont believe me) and i had a bad day (going to a funeral and other family problems) and this was just the cherry on top. mind you i remained completely calm and nice to the workers as i know myself how hard it is working in hospitality.

moral of the story, fix your workers attitude and train them better on how to...

ORDERED: ๐Ÿœ Red Dragon (Pork): Japanese rich pork broth, flavoured with homemade spicy miso paste, thin noodles, soy braised pork belly, cured egg, black fungus, spring onion ($20.90) ๐ŸŸ Gobo chips ($14.90)

It was $29.38 for my portion here!

REVIEW: ๐Ÿ›๏ธ I really enjoyed the traditional approach of Musashi Ramen. In a city where you have a lot of creative takes on a classic, eating out of a traditional ramen ladle hits different. The ladle lets you eat at pace and safely to let you manage how much soup you're bringing in to your mouth (minimises potential splash damage)! ๐Ÿ˜…

๐Ÿท The soy braised in particular at Musashi Ramen has an unapologetic layer of fat. Fat means flavour to me, so I was obsessed with this cut! For those looking for leaner meat, this may not be the flavour at Musashi Ramen for you. The ramen noodles were perfectly cooked with a little spring. The spice in the broth left a warm feeling on my tongue - a perfect amount of spice. ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Gobo (burdock) chips are great to either dip in your ramen broth or snack on with the accompanying sauce!

The tables are close together but not enough where I can hear the conversation next to me. The atmosphere has the casual warmness of an izakaya perfectly with the wooden tones and the fun decor. ๐Ÿฎ Perfect for a casual after work catch up...

This super popular ramen spot in the heart of Melbourne CBD almost always has a line out the door, and once you try it youโ€™ll definitely see why! ๐Ÿ™Œ Theyโ€˜re serving up some of the most delicious and exciting ramen dishes in Melbourne, as well as a variety of other dishes like warming Nabe, skewers and izakaya snacks! ๐Ÿคฉ Their viral Wagyu Yakuza Ramen is definitely a must try! ๐Ÿœ The entire bowl is topped with quality M9+ Master Kobe Wagyu and torched right in front of you ๐Ÿ”ฅ The smell is just incredible and the taste is even better! ๐Ÿฅฉ The Wagyu is so buttery and melts in your mouth ๐Ÿคค If youโ€™re looking to warm up during these colder nights, definitely order their Nabe which is served bubbling at your table ๐Ÿฒ Highly recommend the Seafood Tower Nabe with Creamy Mentaiko soup ๐Ÿฆ and the Gyoza Takinabe in rich Hakata Tonkotsu soup ๐ŸฅŸ - make sure to finish with some Udon or Ramen noodles too! ๐Ÿœ For sides, their Robata skewers are a must! ๐Ÿข Get the Robata Set which comes with wagyu karubi, torimomo (chicken thigh), toriteba (chicken wing), Ton ton (pork belly) and mushroom - so juicy with a perfectly charred and smokey exterior ๐Ÿ”ฅ OPENING HOURS: MON-WED: 11.45AM-3PM / 5PM-10PM THU: 11.45AM-3PM / 5PM-1AM FRI-SAT: 11.45AM-3PM / 5PM-3AM SUN: 11.45AM-3PM / 5PM-9:30PM

Upon entry, you get greeted with "Irasshaimase!!" and immediately taken to your table. The entirior is really nice and it make you feel that you're in a small, hidden alleyway in the middle of Tokyo. We ordered a couple of Ramen (frustratingly, I can't find the menu online to check the exact names) - one was Chicken Kara Age and the other was a spicey one with Pork Belly. We also ordered Takoyaki, Squid, and an extra plate of Kara Age. Everything arrived within five minutes, which was very impressive. The presentation was great and the portions - very generous. Both Ramen were full of flavour. The noodles were nice and al dente (nothing's worse than soggy, overcookee noodles) and we absolutely loved them. The side dishes were also delicious and of good value. There were various condiments at each table, including spicey pickled vegetables. The service was great and we'll definitely go back. The reason for me not to give it 5 stars is the fact that they're cash only - I find this incredibly irritating in this day and age and, if I had noticed it in advance, I wouldn't have gone in. Now that I know how delicious and good value it is, I would still go back, but, guys.... it's 2017! There's no excuse!!!
