I come here at least once a week if not more because it’s the closest Asian grocery store and I genuinely just like browsing. The shelves are well packed and they usually have decent rotating deals! On January 24th, I decided to buy some wagyu karubi slice from the frozen section for $18.90. There was an expiration sticker that said May 14, 2022. On my walk home I decided to just peel the sticker and underneath it had the actual expiration date which was January 24, 2022. I understand it’s difficult to discard all expiring items, but to place a sticker on it with a future expiration date is a bit shady in my opinion. I got a refund immediately and the employees themselves seemed a bit taken aback. I don’t blame them. I don’t want to give the store one star because I understand how difficult it must be for small businesses and ratings can affect future business, but I want to give my feedback.

I have been in love with this place for years and even more so since their renovation. Tangs is THE place to go in Melbourne if you want authentic Asian ingredients and once you start cooking with authentic ingredients you’ll be hooked. Photos below are some of my favourite ingredients I can find at Tangs and have a hard time finding elsewhere. It is always extremely busy with long lines, but don’t let that scare you off! Long lines are a sure sign of perfection and the staff there are experts on moving people through quickly so the lines move extremely fast!

Tang is a fantastic Asian grocery shop located in the CBD, offering a huge and varied selection of goods. The store is well-stocked with a nice variety of products, catering to all your grocery needs. Prices are reasonable too. One highlight is the alcohol corner, which boasts a wide array of choices with great taste. It’s a standout feature that adds to the overall appeal of the store. Overall, Tang provides an excellent shopping experience with its extensive range of products and fair pricing, right in the heart of the city.

Here is a Asian Food Haven, since I discovered this amazing store it has quickly become my go-to for Southeast Asian groceries. This place is a true treasure trove, offering an extensive selection of products that cater to all my culinary needs. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by shelves brimming with a diverse array of items. The variety of sauces and condiments is particularly impressive. Whether you're looking for soy sauce, fish sauce, hoisin sauce, or sambal, you'll find it here. They also stock an extensive range of spices and seasonings, perfect for adding authentic flavors to your dishes. The fresh produce section is equally impressive. Here, you can find all sorts of vegetables commonly used in Asian cooking, such as ginger, green onions, and chinese broccoli. The selection is always fresh and well-stocked, making it easy to find everything I need for my recipes.

One of the highlights for me is the assortment of beverages and snacks. From traditional drinks like red date tea and coconut milk to a variety of candies and snacks, there is something to satisfy every craving. The selection of instant noodles is also vast, featuring flavors from all over Asia. It's a paradise for anyone who loves these quick and flavorful meals. The frozen section is another standout feature. It includes a wide range of products, from dumplings and spring rolls to seafood and meat cuts. They even have various hot pot soup bases, which are perfect for creating a delicious and hearty meal at home.

The store is thoughtfully organized, making it easy to find what you're looking for. The staff are friendly. I often find myself exploring the aisles, discovering new ingredients and products to try. What I love most about this store is a convenient one-stop shop where I can find everything I need to recreate my favorite dishes. The sheer variety and quality of products available make it a valuable resource for anyone interested in Asian cuisine. This store is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the rich and diverse flavors of Asia. You'll find everything you need to create delicious and authentic meals. Highly recommended for its extensive selection and...
