Nando's Bourke St — Restaurant in Melbourne

Having enjoyed Nandos in the past, but not a regular customer we thought we'd treat ourselves while staying nearby at a hotel.

The corn cobs had clearly been frozen and were so soft and void of flavour that despite getting 8 of them, none had more than 1 bite missing from them. (2 large corn packs equals 8 individual portions)

Chips were soggy and only had seasoning on the top, given we ordered the XXL serve of chippies this meant about 90% were lacking seasoning.

The sweet potato chips were OK, good flavour but also soggy which sucked.

The double cheese and chicken burgers were nice, my wife and I both enjoyed ours.

My father in law had the half chicken which he said was very oily.

My eldest son had a wrap which he said was nice.

My youngest had the kids meal with 3 chicken strip's, we ordered mild. He said it was too spicy and couldn't eat it.

My mother in law ordered the salad which she said was OK, however there was no cutlery or utensils provided to eat the salad with, which was disappointing.

We ordered roughly $130 of food and threw out about $50 worth as is just wasn't enjoyable.

I don't know if this is a reflection of this particular Nandos, or the franchise as a whole.

I ordered food from the Nandos app and my food did not arrive! I spoke with the rude Manager at Victor and he said it’s nothing to do with them it’s door dash. He was not helpful at all and left me quite disheartened. I was still hungry but then trying to chase my food or a refund. Door Dash then gave a refund back to Nandos as I ordered through the app. I still haven’t even heard back from anyone about my refund and it’s been 5 days! It’s so hard to contact customer service nandos and no one responds. I then thought I would ask for help again from the store manager of the Nandos restaurant again. I was again with unkindness and unwillingness to help from ‘Victor’. He had no consideration at all for the stress and hassle to try and get my money back. Hands down the best Nandos in the Southern Hemisphere. Have been coming here for lunch as a group regularly for the past six months and not been disappointed once.

The service is exceptional and food is consistently of the highest quality. There is a significant lunch rush from 12-1pm which is handled with an exceptional delivery line - these guys obviously know their chicken.

Obviously the food and service is important but where this place really excels is the atmosphere they manage to create. There is warmth from the moment you walk in and are greeted by the point of sales staff which holds true throughout the visit. Looking around the restaurant, it's hard to find anything but smiles and happy faces.
