Get ready for a delicious, belt-loosening night of All-you-can-eat. What a great night, from the service to the food, exceptional value for your experience. So let’s break it down…
Wednesday Night: 5:30pm sitting, not overly busy – All you can eat menu – $36.50 approx. p/p, drinks are extra
Atmosphere: Beautifully clean and spacious environment with a good selection of booths and tables to support any gathering
Customer Service: Excellent – We were greeted at the entrance welcomingly and shown to our table, with a chilled bottle of complementary water to start with. Were given approximately 5 minutes to consider the menu before the experienced and extremely well-mannered service representative took down our order. But be prepared, these plates are on your table within minutes. Likewise with the staff clearing empty plates, outstanding 😊
Food: (refer to pictures) All you can eat for reasonable price, how can you go wrong? 😊 Looks as good as it tastes and it was nothing short of delicious, with a great selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes for you to choose from. Sushi & Sashimi Platter, Beef Carpaccio, Chicken Karaage were my favourites. Entrees are designed for approx. 2 pieces per diner and the mains a little more so. However I must compliment the serving sizes as they are a suitable size to minimise waste but enough to subside you until you order the next 3-4 plates of food. 😊 Lastly, the food comes out hot and fresh – you are not given the impression that the food has been sitting under a heat lamp for the past 15 minutes.
Overall: It’s hard not to want to return to this place – the setting, the service and the food all come together for an excellent experience. Perfect for any type of occasion or gathering, you will not be disappointed here. I will definitely be coming back. ...
Read moreI was invited to join a small party for dinner at Okami Pakenham on Sunday 15th June. Upon arrival in an incredibly full and loud dining room, I attempted to impart my dietary needs to the wait staff. As these are medical alerts, it took three different wait staff to communicate the message back to a manager without their manager actually coming to the table to discuss. Clearly, despite the menu being well set out for allergens, the wait the staff remained unclear and confused about my needs. When I requested a manager to speak to, one still did not arrive at the table and instead sent the message that the kitchen could not facilitate my dietary requirements. Whilst I certainly appreciated the honesty in not accepting the risk, it was incredibly disappointing to have had hope in dining with my party as the menu suggested dietary requirements would be taken care of as clearly labelled. It was also incredibly awkward sitting through a full dinner service without being able to eat anything! Furthermore, the remainder of my party who did order and eat found the whole experience incredibly average. It was very clear that Okami are only interested in offering really cheap food in order to make a quick profit from every table.
We will not be returning and hope others don't waste their...
Read moreI'm at somewhat of a loss as to how this place gets so many 5-star reviews. Sorry to say but my 3-star review is generous. We'd sat down and within 30 seconds had a waitress arrive and ask if we're ready to order, we said no as we'd been there for less than 1 minute, she looked confused and walked away. No less than 1 min later we had 2 more servers arrive and ask us again. Each time we asked for wine glasses, and until the 4th try ... no wine glasses. After 10 mins of pressure we ordered, asked again for wine glasses, and were underway. The food was average, not terrible but kinda just like food court japanese - nothing special and the sashimi on the sushi-sashimi platter were 4 wafer thin slices of salmon. The piece-du-resistance at the end of the evening though really took the cake. At around 9:45pm the kitchen staff (I presume) started wheeling through the restaurant trolleys FILLED with rubbish bags. Massive garbage bags of refuse. That was our cue to leave. Seriously, there's no back entrance off the kitchen? Or at least wait until the dinner service is over before you wheel dirty rubbish through the restaurant??? I will never come here again, and would encourage most to...
