I really enjoyed this cute spot in Melbourne. I was a little bit hesitant at first when it comes to sandwiches and delis and the like. Nevertheless it looked really good on the images and I heard positive reviews so I decided to come in for a feed.
I must say I was very impressed. At first I walked in the atmosphere and the core of the room was really something taken. There were lots of cute little things on shelves products being sold and also knick-knacks around the area. They also had a really nice takeaway waiting area.
The staff greeted me really nicely and took my order while also suggesting things to try. I ordered the chicken panini. Everyone was really nice.
Once we sat down around the back I was once again really impressed with the cosy and welcoming environment that the restaurant had. Lots of cute little details with clear attention. Although I will be honest it was a little bit cold so we got there early in the morning and the AC or heater was not on. That's something that might be improved in the future. Also when I went to use the bathroom it was raining at the time so I got a little bit soaked and the bathroom was incredibly cold because it's actually outside of the restaurant around the back.
But finally our food came and I was really impressed. The size and portion of the food was really nice and surprising. The flavours went really well with everything and you could tell that the ingredients were nice and fresh homemade and made with love. The only suggestion I would have for my panini is just to have some sort of sauce as it did get a little bit dry to eat. On top of that as well the bread was a little bit too firm and me and my partner had a funny joke that it would be a lot better if there was on the banh mi bread. Although anything a little bit soft that would have been nice as well.
I definitely could not finish all of my sandwich and only had half of it thankfully they gave me a takeaway box and wrapped up my sandwich quite nicely. I also brought up the dry sandwich issue that I mentioned before and the staff kindly offered to put capsicum sauce on my sandwich.
Overall a very positive experience and I'll definitely be coming back in the future when I'm in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFound this place quite by accident, a d my god I feel so lucky I did! Not only is their coffee delicious and on point, their food is equally so without just offering the usual things - while having the old faithfuls, their lunch menu boasts a burnt butter gnocchi, an impressive sounding Reuben sandwich, and a pumpkin and canellini bean mash with balsamic mushrooms and pea tendrils (to goddamn die for!)
I had the latter which honestly, was just so satisfying. The music was at a good level so you didn't need to shout or struggle to hear either! Staff were friendly and engaging, and knew when to leave you be to chill. There's a back section that has the sun flooding in and an outside seating area with parasols and climbing plants. Beautiful space, fantastic food, good people and damn good coffee. What more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited the new panino misto, and Iām so glad I did! Sharon and Joe, the owners, are absolutely amazing ā their passion for great food really shines through. All the food is made in-house and to order, which makes everything super fresh and delicious. The meatballs and porchetta are definitely the stars of the show, but honestly, everything Iāve tried so far has been incredible. The vibes are also fantastic, and the employees are so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch sandwich or just a great meal. Wishing Sharon and Joe all the best, and Iāll definitely...
