There is nothing more disappointing than paying money for mediocre food. My friend and I ordered a sliced beef/beef ball pho and a pork chop/spring roll rice vermicelli salad.

The pork chop, taste wise, was probably the best part of the dish and even that was served cold and unsliced. The spring rolls were not crispy, were served cold and lacked flavour. I was served lettuce slices that were browning and wilted, and cucumber strips that felt like they had been left out all day and were limp. The nuoc nam was disproportionately fishy and lacked the standard flavour profile expected of this sauce. Nevertheless, there is nothing a good amount of hoisin and sriracha can’t fix. The noodles were the one thing I can’t complain about - however it is difficult to mess up rice noodles.

The pho soup was noticed, as served, to have a massive oil spill on the top. I kept having to wipe my mouth with how oily it was. The taste was average at best and lacked any substance. The beef slices were poor quality and slightly chewy. They were all cooked on top of each other and formed big clumps which were dissatisfying to eat. The beef balls tasted ordinary and the rice noodles were fine but not enough for the size of the bowl. Although this bowl of pho was only $16, it didn’t feel worth $16 when I could be eating a much better quality pho...

This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered the chicken special, thinking it was a straightforward bowl of noodles, but when the waitress (who I’m assuming was the owner) took my order, she didn’t bother to clarify that the only option was a chicken and beef special. Sure enough, she brought out the bowl of noodle with both chicken and beef. When we pointed out the mistake, she was incredibly rude, dismissive, and honestly, downright hostile. There was no apology, just an attitude. To top it off, they made us pay for the dish we didn’t want. We were forced to pick the beef out ourselves as we didn’t want to cause a scene. The service was beyond awful, and the complete lack of respect for customers is shocking. Absolutely do NOT recommend this...

I have been eating here since 2018. The food here use to be amazing with fresh produce and tender meats. However the quality of the food has seriously declined over the last few years. The pho I had here today was inedible: the broth was great as it always has been, but the meat was gross - it was like eating large pieces of chewing gum, and there were only 4 pieces of meat in a large pho. For the 5 times I have eaten here over last 2 years, each time has been horribly disappointing. Obviously the kitchen staff have been changed, and/or the business is trying to cut costs by reducing the serving size (but still charging the same) and purchasing much cheaper but poorer quality cuts of meat. Safe to say, I won’t...

My favourite Pho in Melbourne, worth the drive from Box Hill when we're in the cbd on the weekends. Low prices compared to Springvale, only $11 for a normal bowl of Pho GA (chicken Pho). Delicious broth, which pairs well with their medium spicy chilli sauce. You always get fresh lemon and sweet onion, and heaps of bean shoots. I ordered the Pho GA with Maryland twice previously and it's so tender, this time I got the standard chicken slices and it's still better than the standard slices you get in Springvale. Also the tea is good, you can pay with Visa/Mastercard no surcharge, and the lady owner is nice 😀 What else do you want from a Pho restaurant?

A hidden gem in the "outskirts" of the Footscray CBD, the staff at Pho Tam were very welcoming and friendly. The food came out reasonably quickly, decent serving size and the pho tasted really great: the broth had a nice authentic flavour, the noodles tasted fresh and had a good consistency (much better than a lot of other pho restaurants in Melbourne where the noodle seems to be an afterthought rather than a complement to the broth), and there was a good serving of meat. Highly recommended - it's a shame I live on the east side, as I'd definitely come back regularly.

This restaurant was used to be my favourite. However since the take over of new owner, everything went down hill fast. The chicken and beef pho was so bland, tasted nothing like the pho made from previous owner. The broth was so bland with a thick layer of oil floating on top. We also had the chicken and rice, but the rice was so hard and cold, the fried chicken was bland and tough. Also ordered Steamed Wonton, but the wontons came out totally uncooked with the pork is still red and soggy. Had to send it back. We won’t ever come back again
