I would rate this Melbourme restaurant with five stars. Great location with a beautiful view on the ocean and the Harbour, close to the tram stop, very central, lot of car parking is available as well, yacht clubs, in a few words ideally connected to the transport lines and easily accessible. It is one of the places where you can experience a romantic flavour of Melbourne. Food is always fresh, great choice of international bavarage and meals, tasty sweets and deserts as well. Music is quiet and pleasent, never to loud to interrupt the conversation. Way of cooking and owens are something not typical and widely known in Melbourne. Slowly cooked meals on a quiet fire are probably the best the chefs can ofer in this restaurant. Unfortunately, staff is constantly changing, waiters are probably students or travelers on work & holiday visas, not professionally trained and therefore inexperienced. These people can be quiet arrogant and even embezzling the guests, although we go to the place quite often. They treat us as if we would be there to eat and run away not paying for the service we were provided. Sparkling water should be something complementary, and coke should not be made out of tap - it should be bottled. We noticed several times that they rip off the guests for the drinks. But they don't care because cruisers will be coming in anyhow. Generally, if they will improve on these details it could become a world...

We celebrated my brother's surprise 21st birthday in the Bay Room at Pier Port in Port Melbourne, and I can't speak highly enough of the experience. From the moment we reached out to Rachel to book the venue, the service was exceptional—professional and effortless. Jake, the manager for the night, was amazing. He ensured everything ran seamlessly, from accommodating our many requests, for extra chairs to orchestrating the surprise entrance of the birthday boy, Issiah. His attentiveness throughout the entire evening from the start of it & right to the end was outstanding. Couldn’t have gotten anyone better to take charge!

The food was delicious, continuously served and consistently impressive—a solid 10/10. The venue itself boasts a captivating atmosphere, with its beach view and ample space. The DJ setup & birthday set up complemented the spacious dance floor perfectly. Additionally, the nearby outdoor smokers' room, offering glimpses of the dance floor, was a perfect fit for the night.

Dylan and Hailey, the bartenders, also delivered exceptional service, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. A huge thank you to the entire team at Pier Port Melbourne for an unforgettable experience. I cannot recommend this venue enough—10/10...

“best of everything I could think of for my 40th birthday...”

my partner and I looked all over Melbourne to find a venue for my 40th birthday. we finally decided on Pier which wasn't the cheapest in similar venues but seemed fair for value and services. so happy we did.

from the first impression, they treated us like friends of their own, simple and straight to the point. not like a dollar sign with arms and legs!!!

they had a wide range of options for food, drinks to choose from and they even let us customise from the list to accommodate all tastes without massive cost.

sales manager Nicole Canepa, was very helpful and made sure that we had everything we asked for. the bartender and waiting staff were very friendly and always with a smile.

for the food, we have a variety of canapes, sliders and pizzas and they were all delicious and nicely dished and served.

We had the Beach Bar downstair and the place is well decorated and cosy, we even played our own music and I guess my friends had a really good night too, imagine a group of 30-40yrs old acting like in their 20s!!!

Overall... Great Experience, would definitely suggest...
