If you want a very healthy option for brunch/lunch, try the ‘Nourish Bowl’- which is different from the website ‘Breakfast Menu’- as they have ditched the mushrooms; & poached eggs ( plural). Perhaps a suggestion of updating your Menus on your website with correct increased prices that you offer now? With the Nourish Bowl, you will get grilled Haloumi, Quinoa Tabouli, Roasted Pumpkin, Avocado, wilted spinach, red cabbage and a single fried egg. I didn’t want ‘fried egg’ so asked for a poached instead ( which could have been more liquid inside the yolk). A very healthy meal, but I’d bring back the mushrooms & perhaps just (2) cherry tomatoes to make this meal spectacular. Cutting down on the eggs, from plural to singular seems a little like ‘cost cutting’. Otherwise a great tasting breakfast/lunch option. Fresh leaf brewed Chai with Bonsoy- was OK, I’ve had better. Dog friendly & open air cafe for the lovely sea breeze wafting up Bay Road from Port Melbourne Beach.

Food was terrible. Honestly just disgusting Cafe is definetly not recommended at all. Coffee was terrible, 1st coffee was sent back, could not taste the vanilla shot, 2nd wasn't much better, didn't end up finishing it Food closest in foods was suppose to be fish, not sure what actually was. Couldn't cut the fish with a knife ( literally that bad ) Fish chips ( with calamari ) was not eatable. Fish was cooked in way too hot oil, outside crumb was burnt, but the centre of was cold and way undercooked, Steak sandwich was less than average, not option on how to cook stake medium rare etc, came out way overcooked ( well done ) and not suitable for sandwich After already sending stuff back, ended up.leaving the mess of attemptd cooking behind Cafe not recommended at all

Average to below average customer service. The servers appeared to be busy doing nothing at all except to walk around doing nothing. It definitely shows when tourists are hired, they don't give a hoot about long standing patrons or any patrons at all. The coffee was ok, nothing fantastic and that's after waiting 20 minutes (at least) and asking the annoyed servers where our coffees were. The nachos were a good size for the cost. We also had the hotcake which was ok but overall a bit dry. I'd suggest for management to review their server hiring requirements as it's definitely impacting on their business. Luckily the cafe is in a good location otherwise they'd be in real trouble.

UPDATE 20/04 - Ended up having to go through the APP(!!) for a refund. Considering HungryHungry responded to me within 30 minutes and refunded us all in a day, I am not sure what could possibly be taking over 2 weeks. They also confirmed refunds are a simple process on the restaurants end and should not take this long. Glad to be done with this - thank-you HungryHungry!

NOTE - They asked us all to remove our reviews when we called. We will not be doing this as they did nothing to try and rectify the issues.

Not even sure where to begin with this one. Visited 3/4/21 at approximately 12 pm

Firstly we arrive and sit down in the sun (30 degree day). After ordering we noticed a table inside become free. We asked the staff at the counter if it were possible to move and they said yes. After moving we went up to the counter and confirmed the table number we had ordered with and then the new table number.

After 20 minutes we asked about our drinks (1 juice, 1 milkshake) and then finally received them (it had been delivered to the wrong table and instead of looking they just left them on the counter until we came up).

30 minutes after ordering we finally receive 1 of 4 meals. My friend begins to eat the chips when they waiter came back and TOOK THE MEAL, he said he gave it to the wrong table and then went to give it to someone else. WE HAD EATEN SOME OF IT!! A few minutes later he came back and gave it back as he “couldn’t find the table”. We declined this as who knows where it has been if they were willing to do that.

We then asked where our meals were as it had been 35 minutes and we had heard nothing. He went and asked and came back to state that they hadn’t even started cooking yet. We told them not to bother and then asked for a refund.

This is where the most DISGUSTING service of a manger (or owner, unsure) I have received ever happened. Name: Mary Anne.

Firstly she yelled at a staff member in front of us for asking for help (“just because I’m here doesn’t mean you bother me”) and then after 5 minutes of the poor front of shop girl struggling, she came over and angrily began to “help”.

As we had ordered through the app separately, she mentioned several times it was “inconvenient” and she’d have to “call the app”. These app systems have been around almost a year now - surely you know how to organise a refund.

After storming away again, she came back and said that we had moved tables without informing them, so it is not their fault we didn’t get our meals. We reminded that we told the girl (who confirmed) twice and had gotten our drinks so this was not our fault.

After then angrily printing out a receipt with all our order numbers, not providing proof of refund, she stormed off and said we’d get it in a few days.

It has now been over a week. We have tried calling 3 times a day since Friday with no response from the manager. Though every time we call we are told our details have been passed on.

Today we got through again only to be told she had taken a few days off!!

This restaurant has caused nothing but stress and taken almost $100 of our money without providing anything in return.

We had not planned to write reviews. However when they refused to give us a refund receipt in person, provide proof that they organised our refund afterwards (I made sure they had our phone numbers), OR return a single call, I am beyond mad.

If the restaurant would like to speak to me about this they...

A variety of seating areas are available affording different amounts of privacy and also a choice to sit inside or outside depending on the weather. Just a block from the beach, the breeze off the ocean lends to the atmosphere. The cafe is usually quite busy, with a queue forming even on some weekday mornings. My partner and I have opted to sit in for our morning coffee. Although we have not ordered food, everything ordered by those around us seemed to have been made with care and looks good. The prices seem a bit high for what is served but they have a great variety of food including some tailored to vegetarian and gluten-free patrons. The staff was able to answer questions about the menu and coffee readily; however, never wrote down our order. Despite the fact that we only ordered two coffees (one for each of us) on our first trip in my coffee was served hot instead of over ice and on our second trip in our server had to return to the table to confirm what we had ordered. When the coffee arrived it was flavorful and to our liking, particularly the iced mocha ordered by my partner which came in an sundae glass and was well-presented. The servers do seem a bit confused at times, perhaps a few of them are new, as we were brought someone else's coffee and our coffee went to another table. From this standpoint, staff training, attention to detail, and speed of food/drinks arriving to the table could be improved. If you are looking for a cafe with a good vibe, delicious coffee, and a variety of food options, this is a great local spot! Just be a little patient with the staff and enjoy your surroundings while you wait for your coffee...

Walked inside. The place was less than half full. It was a weekend lunchtime and nice day. More customers were sitting outside. Waitress was prompt and provided the menu. My friends and I ordered. We waited and waited and waited... waited approx 30 MINUTES for our meals. Unacceptable!! The lamb open souvlaki (they call it a 12hr lamb?.. huh?) was minimal bits of lamb and a large chunk of FAT rubbery thingy they deceptively tried to pass off as lamb meat. I liked that there was lots of lettuce. But my dish deserved more lamb to match the $20+ price. As for a friend's meal of 'fish & chips'.. the fish was small strips of white meat. The description was supposedly 'market fish'. What does this mean? Market fish..hey? how the Hell do we know? Didn't say South Melb etc... market on it. What sort of Market are they on about? The small strips were of questionable fish which could've been the dodgies we all know... ie. last nights fish leftovers with fried exterior. Or Made in 'Vietnam' for all we know. The fish that was expected was the fish that we all know.. you know, fish with HEAD, BODY & TAIL all intact! We want SPECIFICS and not a vague term of 'market fish'. We got served by a clueless waitress from some European country (Germany? or thereabouts).. No glass of water.. OMG what the Hell!!! The workers here DON'T give you a glass of water upon arrival. That's gotta be a clear example of lack of customer service. We got an overall feeling of being ripped off and will NEVER...
