Of the many cafes Port Melbourne has to offer, this has become one of my favorites. A stone's throw from the beach and just off bay street, the outdoor seating is quieter than most of the other cafes around. The staff always seems happy to be at work and accommodating of questions and special orders. The indoor tables have flowers and feel cozy without being intrusive to neighboring conversations and dining. The coffee is delicious and well made and they cater to my dairy-free milk needs which is always a win. I especially appreciate their attention to detail with milk selection and ability to make a good drink without burning or scalding the milk. My partner goes there for their savory pancakes which are a thick stack covered in heaps of bacon. Prices are reasonable and location is prime. My only suggestion for improvement would be if patrons could challenge their server to a game of rock paper scissors for a discount...

Review is for 'Paper Rock Scissors'- Cafe in Port Melbourne. Catching up for brunch with a group of friends, I was particularly looking forward to my order ‘Avo Smash with Edamame beans & other ingredients’ . Photos look great in regards to presentation, however, the thick Toast really takes up the height of 50% of the Meal. I thought the Avo Smash would have tasted better, if the Fetta was mixed in with the Avo & perhaps some added fine Spanish onion? On its own, the Avo smash was slightly ‘tasteless’. I couldn’t taste any flavour re fresh Edamame beans in the Avo & Lemon juice mixed in the Avo as well. Hence this ‘Smashed Avocado’ meal is not the best I’ve ever had. Perhaps the suggestion of slightly more Avo, would ensure the toast is not left over. Great options though for Chai lovers with ‘Prana Chai’ - a great hot drink. Not sure if we would go back, as my friends...

Great food and excellent service. Large booking, accommodating staff - quick turn around of orders despite it being peak hour for them. There was 10 - 15 of us over a span of 2hours and allowed us all to pay separately at different times (with people having to go early etc). And yes we did book (recommended for this if in a group) My only gripe is the transaction fees. - I don’t have an issue with them as I understand it cost them money to have electronic services, I would probably prefer these fees to be built into cost of the food rather than seeing a slightly higher number on final payment. carry cash if you want...

Just around the corner from the beach end of Bay street, Port Melbourne, is this hidden beauty, Rock Paper Scissors, a great cafe. Sitting outside on the footpath eating area on such a nice day was absolutely perfect. It was my first time visit here and while I didn't try the food, I did see some of it going out of the kitchen and I did check out the menu and it looks great and healthy options. However, I did try the coffee and it was just perfect. The cafe is dog friendly and the staff is super friendly and provides a great service. Will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely brunch here. The atmosphere was great and peaceful, and the staff were really nice. The mixed berry with white chocolate muffin was outstanding—crunchy on the outside, moist in the middle, and not overly sweet. However, the granola was definitely too dry and hard to finish. The magic mushrooms dish was really good, but it was a pity that the slice of white bread it was served on was quite firm and hard to cut. This cafĂ© is in a great location, but I think the dishes need some improvements.

This morning thought I would grab a coffee plus egg & bacon roll on my way to the office. Called into here thinking it would be good. After waiting a while I get this crumpled roll that was soggy and could tell it was just heated up in a microwave or heat press. The egg was dry and the bacon like leather. Why precook egg & bacon then reheat, it does not take much to freshly cook an egg and some bacon.... sorry guys it ended up in the bin, not very nice at all. The 2 stars is for the coffee
