Where do i start?! I attended a kink event here recently... The toilets smell really bad & you can smell them from the hallway outside. They had a security guard at the toilets who was deciding which gender people were & telling them which toilet they were allowed to use. This is archaic & inappropriate, especially at an event where there were many genderqueer people. Security wouldn't let you take your drink with you into the bathroom, so you had to leave it on a table, unattended & this is putting people at risk of drink spiking. Security also did the same with the smoking area, stating that it was a licensing issue. If it was a licensing issue, why were you also not allowed to take your water bottle with you into the smoking area? Licensing states that alcohol has to be contained to within the area stated on the licence & it doesn't include alcohol free items. Security were also very rude & had very poor communication skills. On top of all of the above, empty glasses were not collected by staff in a timely fashion & all the tables ended up covered with used glasses & empty bottles/cans. Eventually these overflowed & they ended up on the floor or any flat surface ended up covered in...
Read moreI would have rated this establishment with zero stars if such an option were available. My experience exemplified a textbook case of deception. For the New Year's Eve event in 2025, the flamingo organization promoted its club extensively across social media platforms and charged attendees a significant fee. Located in St. Kilda, the venue was marketed as an ideal alternative to the chaotic atmosphere of Melbourne's Central Business District (CBD) during New Year's Eve celebrations. However, at the last minute, the venue was abruptly changed to an unsatisfactory location in the CBD- platform one. This new site lacked adequate air conditioning, and for the initial hour, approximately 200 attendees were confined to a cramped area while preparations for the event took place in another section. Due to this last-minute change, many attendees faced a journey home that exceeded four hours. Such practices are entirely unacceptable and raise significant ethical concerns regarding the treatment...
Read moreNot recommended. 30 AUD entry fee. Cash only accepted. The mini ATM charges 3.50 withdrawal fee and you can only withdraw 50 or 100. Quite rude guards. Very biased atmosphere. Physical appearance of the club and dance floor was nice as its a tunnel. DJ also isn't that great. Kept talking over the music. 5 min walk from flinders station; that's the only benefit. Don't go here, specially not for a milestone event. My 33.50 bucks down the drain.
Best advice is if you want a good time; get one of those LED neons from kmart and get some slabs from your local bottle shop and party in you own house or backyard with your own crowd. That's an amazing feeling no club in the world will ever get you. No point wasting your money on logistics. Ain't...
