Polo Café — Restaurant in Melbourne

First time coming to this place, since we booked at the hotel for an overnight stay, thats on another review. The cafe was quiet and not overcrowded, which is something I preferred, giving 4 star for the following reasons, when we were seated we were not offered a high chair for my kid, had to ask for it, this should be one of first things to ask when seating a family, waiter may be new, another is one of our order had an issue, this was resolved although waited for a bit instead of being resolved right away. When it came to food, I tried the buffalo wings, it was good, but in any way did not taste like the name, it was breaded fried chicken with not a drizzle but a smudge of bbq sauce of some sort, wife really liked the marinara, did not taste this not a fan, but I am happy my wife liked and enjoyed her food, last is the steak, wine based gravy did not have any taste whatsoever not sure what it was really, however, medium rare steak was cooked perfectly, as the steak I usually get served are not cooked to medium rare, which really is a disappointment, so well done to the chef, also giving my sincerest thanks to the manager and staff who looked after us...

This evening I had the absolute pleasure of dining at the Polo Café, nestled within the Mercure North Melbourne hotel. The experience was simply unforgettable, and my 3 other friends that joined me also unanimously agreed that it warrants a glowing five-star review.
