Discovered this place a few years ago during lockdowns - was looking online for a boba place that was open and within my radius. Made the 5km walk to Pure Boba several times back then, as it was always super delicious! I’ve since moved further away, but if I’m ever in the area I make sure to grab a bubble tea from here. The other day, I saw that Pure Boba was on Uber Eats late at night and delivered to my area. Was very excited to see this, so naturally I ordered not one, but two drinks for myself! I wanted an outrageous number of different toppings in both drinks, but only a little bit of each kind so my cup wasn’t just toppings with barely any tea. I specified this in the notes as I know Pure Boba are already quite generous with their topping serving sizes. On the Uber Eats app, you have to pay extra for each individual topping, which is of course standard practice for boba stores. I was more than happy to pay the full cost for each variety of topping despite only wanting small amounts, I did see the prices before I checked out after all. Shortly after placing my order, their staff called me to say that they’d actually reduced the cost of my Uber Eats order to reflect the total volume of toppings I requested! This was nearing their closing time as well. The man on the phone (presumably the owner?) was very kind. He even told me some new ideas he had on how to amend the Uber eats prices to better reflect the desired volume of toppings, in case people wish to place an order like this again (although I doubt many people would want as many kinds of toppings as I do in just one drink). I was very impressed by his incredible honesty and fairness, he said “you should only pay for what you get”. I’m certain this would be a very rare Uber Eats experience, I’m not sure how many other businesses would go above and beyond for their customers like this. True dedication! Stupendously outstanding service, scrumptious bubble tea + a super adorable dog logo used for...
Read moreI WAS a regular Pure Boba customer for the past few months however after the experience I had on the weekend, I will NEVER spend another dollar there again. The immature rude asian girl needs an attitude adjustment.
All I asked was what drinks could I change the sugar levels on and she said all of them. Now after I made my fruit tea order I asked again to make sure there was no sugar in the drink and she then changed her answer with "you can't change the sugar level".... Ummmm honey you said I could and now I can't??? Anyway she then rolled her eyes and with apprehension replies with "NO I said everything except the fruit teas"
Sweetie, if I had heard you the first time then I wouldn't be asking would I?
How can you have an incompetent employee taking orders and giving your customers attitude when they ask a simple question?
A message to the business owner: Don't hire kids to be the forefront of your business if they aren't capable of conducting themselves appropriately. Just remember you NEED customers to support your business and without customers you won't...
Read moreIf bubble tea were a spiritual path, Pure Boba in Carnegie would be its temple—and the person behind the counter, the blender-wielding guru. Always calm under pressure, precise with every pour, and able to make brown sugar milk tea taste like a caramel epiphany. Whether you’re just bubble-curious or a seasoned sipper, Pure Boba always delivers
The whole team makes this place feel like a pilgrimage worth taking. They’re lightning-fast, friendly, and keep the vibe upbeat even when the queue’s out the door and the delivery dockets are stacking. One staff member in particular—with a constellation of ear piercings—has the kind of cool composure and multitasking finesse that would make a ninja jealous.
The drinks? Divine. Taro milk tea tastes like purple nostalgia. Mango green tea sparkles like joy. And the boba—chewy, glorious, never clumped like sad pathetic dumplings.
One visit, and you’ll believe destiny comes with extra pearls and 50% ice. One sip and you’ll believe the tea...
