Hi Racecourse,
Normally visit your hotel about twice a week for lunch and enjoy the meals. Today, the Friday16th December 2022 visited the hotel and ordered a Pie of the Day" which said on the seniors menu to ask the waiter. I did so and then when paying they charged me $34-00 for a glass of house chardonnay and the Chicken pie of the day.
I questioned the young waiter and waitress who said you did not specify it was a "seniors meal" and "sorry mate"!! So paid the account and shook my head not saying anything.
I am a senior of 67 years who visits your hotel regularly and orders a seniors meal or ,if not particularly hungry, a Saganaki.
The problem is not the money but the attitude of the young staff members who have seen me on many occasions.
They need to be taught some customer service and some of them need to smile.
I have supported you during many lunches when there have been around about 8 people there.
This has put me off going there any longer.
They need Anna to teach them some customer service skills.

Read moreChanged a bit. I spent a good portion of my youth in this pub. The public bar has has gone. There used to be a great beer garden out the back, where you could sit and hear the trams go past. Now it's a gaming room. Probably not a bad thing that it's totally been renovated. Takes away the memories of the night I tried to pick up the bar manager. And I was going well. Until Demolition Bob, started a fight with the other demolition contractor and it was all in. When I saw the way the bar manager pick up 150+kg plus Demolition Bob and moved him out of the fight, I decided she was far too scary for me. I thought that in a moment of passion she would snap me like a twig.
Anyways, it's nice that it's back after being closed for while. All good. The front toilets are a bit hard to find, but...
Read moreI went for lunch with my two young kids today. It took 60min for the kids margarita pizza to come out after all the adult meals were eaten. My daughter was so hungry she picked a slice and the cheese fell in her hand and burnt her. I spoke to the manger to say kids food shud not be served at burning temperature, his response was that they donât put pizza under cold water before serving. When I naturally got deeply upset by his mocking remark and lack of remorse given that my daughter was hurt, he told me to leave the premise. I didnât even get a refund for the pizza that she didnât eat. I really hope this doesnât happen to another child in the future. Please donât serve kids food at 100 degree temperature, if u do PLEASE warn parents...
