Gorgeous cafe. Extremely quick and friendly service. Surprisingly vegan. You don't miss the meat. I'm not vegan and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. It's the best introduction to try Vegan food if you've never tried it. The food is very very tasty and freshly made on the premises. Even for a big eater you'll leave feeling very nourished and content. The serves are definitely bigger than average and very good value for money. I'd highly recommend this place. Catch the #12 Tram from Collins st( corner swanston st) and 12 mins later you'll arrive practically at the doorstep!! Enjoy yumminess. I will be back next week! Went back and ordered takeaway the following week. The service was wonderfully friendly and the food consistent and amazing tasting. I like this cosy cafe which is smaller and feels more relaxing than their sister stores in the heart of the CBD. The ENVIRONMENT is very RELAXING and TRANQUIL. It's very NOURISHING for the SOUL.

I love the tea, food and vegan sweets at Radhey. They provide great value for money. A step up from Crossways and Gopal's but very similar vibe. If you order a drink, go for the cinamon or turmeric chai which are slightly more interesting (but not more expensive) than the standard blend and pair wonderfully with a vegan cheesecake. I love the vegan platter which leaves me super full and contains a good variety of dishes (plus a nice semolina and date dessert). My coconut korma was more spicy than it was flavourful, making it a bit tough to stomach. But everything else (tomato koftas, chickpea salad and sweet potato salad, topped with tahini) were great. Also love that there's complimentary mango pickles on every table. A great cheap eats destination if you're in the area.

This is hands down my favorite cafe in Melbourne! If I could give more than 5 stars, I’d give thousands because the food here is simply incredible. The taste and quality are unmatched! I’ve tried several curries, and every single one was perfection. The vegetarian halloumi burger, though, deserves a special mention—it’s the best I’ve ever had! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Their genuine care for customers truly adds to the experience. I can’t recommend this place enough—an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves amazing food and great service!

Prepare yourself for the story of a business willing to burn years of good will for the measly sum of $3.50

Being vege, I like to support local businesses which do all vege meals. It just makes things easier when everything on the menu is an option. Radhey Chai Bar is one of those places I had been going to for years.

I ordered the wrap with chips and quinoa salad. I also added a mint drink to the side. Now, having recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, I have been forced to question the food. I know most of the meal but wasn't sure about the drink.

I keep it simple, 'Is that drink sweet?'

Woman behind the counter, "No, the lassi is the sweet drink"

So I included one with my meal.

A few bites of the food in and I took a sip of the drink. As soon as it touched my lips I realised this was sweet like syrup. Any more and I would have been in real trouble.

I ate the rest of the meal and then went back in to tell them of their mistake, being that it was dangerous to a person such as myself.

"I was told this wasn't sweet. I can't drink this because of my diabetes"

The woman with the bullring through her nose was clearly spoiling for a fight.

"You never told me that. I said it's not sweet because it's not that sweet to me"

In her mind, patrons are required to disclose their medical history.

"Well, can I get the money back on the drink? I was told it wasn't sweet and there's no way I can drink it"

Completely oblivious to consumer rights, she belligerently replied, "You've already drunk most of it!", which was clearly not true, nor possible.

The woman, with a bee-in-her-bonnet, was clearly not backing down from what should never have been a fight in the first place.

At this point it became a matter of principle at having been treated so poorly as a customer with a medical condition.

She went out to the kitchen to ask the chef, who is apparently in charge of such decisions, and came back.

"The chef said no. There's nothing more I can do".

Then the woman walked away for a good 5 minutes, leaving the restaurant unattended for that time, presumably just waiting for me to leave.

Then when she came back I asked to speak with the chef who had denied me a refund. I explained the situation to him.

He came out, spent another 5 minutes trying to locate my order in the register. I wasn't asking for a refund on the food, only the drink. And then eventually handed over the $3.50.

$3.50 to burn years of good will from one loyal customer. I hope it...

Giving this Restaurant a one star is too generous. After purchasing a Groupon voucher to try this Restaurant and dining frequently in Fitzroy, I thought to give this Restaurant a try, Unfortunately i was badly dissapointed. I have always purchased Groupon vouchers and printed the voucher and never had any problems. This Restaurant had no clue how to take the Voucher and wanted an app on the phone. I was never been embarassed, intimidated or interrogated in front of other Customers as I was from this Restaurant. I believe that if a businesses decides to partner with Social media Companies such as Groupon should know how to operate. The Customer service from this Restaurant was the worst I ever received. I felt so bad from their Service that I had lost my appetite and left my plate and walked out to dine elsewhere. The best part was that while learning how to process the voucher their system was asking if I wanted to leave a tip. What a Joke !!!!! I wonder if this Restaurant even knows about the...
