I'm from Sydney and I'd heard a little bit about this place before I came the Melbourne. Seems like a bit of a hot spot, and I can see why. I picked this place because the menu has fantastic options for vegan, dairy free, nut free, and gluten free. Really easy to read and make decisions without harassing the waitstaff about allegies or dietary requirements. We chose to dine on the rooftop in the table service section. We ordered a cocktail jug to start. They accidentally gave us a single cocktail, so they let us keep that for free and then made us a jug. However, the jug ended up taking about twenty minutes to come out, so they made that free instead. Really fantastic service. The food was pretty great. We got the Bread, Oysters, Beef Skewers, and Prawn Skewers. I wanted more bread. It's heavenly. Beef Skewers and Prawn Skewers were fantastic. Oysters with granita were a silly choice for winter. The cocktails were amazing. We shared a Peach Fizz and Juicy Melon jug. Both were sweet and easy to drink. Unfortunately someone threw up all over the entry to the rooftop bathrooms, so I had to go to the ground floor to use the bathroom. I didn't realise this was going to be a 20 minute round trip due to the lift being the only way upstairs, a queue of about 30 people waiting to enter, and a capacity limit of 6-7 people per trip. The lift I got in was over capacity, so I volunteered to jump out. The staff member offered me a free drink for my troubles. Again, AMAZING service. We gave a good tip when we left. I hope they get to see it! All in all, the place had amazing vibes, and I would definitely recommend.

Food was excellent, particular standouts were the sea bream tartare, prawn skewers, beef skewers and the calamari rolls. All very tasty delicious sharing options. We had quite a bit of the menu and quality of everything was top notch. Drinks are particularly good as there's a huge mix of gin, vodka and other infused spirits as a well as a good selection of beers. Atmosphere is really cool, there is both an indoor and outdoor section of the roof so it can accommodate for all weather. The outdoor is awesome when weather is good and you get a great view of the Melbourne skyline. The indoor section is buzzing and feels like a stylish pub with a lot of vibe, as the place is usually busy. The decor is funky and stylish and it's a nice cozy place to bez with a lot of industrial touches and neon. Staff were good throughout, though a little keen to get us off the table when wed finished! Not too pushy but more sensitive customers might think so. Really enjoyed it. Would recommend to anyone!

I loved the aesthetic and I thought the menu seemed so fun. The food that my partner and I shared was fab. We got a baked Camembert and a pasta dish, along with some chips for the table. And we also had some really fun cocktails. Unfortunately we had a pretty bad experience with the staff that has really altered our experience of the restaurant and made us feel like the price for the food in the end didn’t match and made us feel like we overspent on something that was under delivered upon. I think had it not gone so wrong that night with the staff not correcting a mistake they’d made with a friend’s dish, we might have had a really good experience because I think the venue is really interesting and there’s something for everyone. But I just can’t shake the feeling that instead of fixing their mistake and repairing our view on the restaurant, they decided that nothing could be done to rectify an incorrect dish and effectively said ‘too bad, so sad’. I’d love to come back but I think I’d need a really good reason because I wouldn’t go back by my own choice.

Don’t try the braised pork belly! Just a big no, it costed us ~35$ but the portion was small, and it was not flavorful at all, i don’t know why this could be the main course but it looked just like a block of crispy pork (not even crispy). The chips were good, pretty standard. The view was just amazing, the outside area was a bit cold during some windy days and sometimes the staff didn’t turn on the heater so we got cold. Drinks menu got some good variety and decent price. A staff once took my food and drink order, he forgot to tell me to wait for the drink and he just let me walk away with a table number, i thought the drinks will come with the food as well. After we having our dinner for a while i had to come back to ask for the drinks so it was kinda disappointing because I needed to find the exact staff that took my order otherwise i could not get my drinks. Quite not too good of a service but i guess the view, vibe and the location had made me go easy on them.

I had so much fun here! I was walking around the area, a little sad that it was rainy on my vacation, and we decided to take a gander in. This bar/restaurant combo has a few floors. The first floor has its own vibe, and I think it is technically a different business but they run jointly. They have a separate menu and you aren't able to take the food upstairs. The first floor - where we didn't order anything since we wanted to sit on the roof despite the rain - had some great bang for your buck deals, so I was sad I didn't get to try! But upstairs had an equally enticing menu with lots of interesting but not too wild tapas and decently priced drinks. There are a loooot of seats out on the rooftop deck. The view isn't much to boast about, but the vibe is really what you're looking for! It's chill, laid back, and low stress. I think they serve at different times in the day, but when I went everything was self serve.

As a seasoned Melbourne habitué, Naked for Satan has consistently impressed over my numerous visits (though sunshine remains elusive!). Their ever-evolving cocktail menu caters to a discerning palate, and the in-house spirits add a touch of artisanal flair rarely encountered elsewhere. The ambience perfectly embodies Fitzroy's spirit – a captivating juxtaposition of exposed brick and dark walls illuminated by warm, low lighting. Timber floors complete the picture, creating a sophisticatedly grungy haven. The place gets deservedly packed during summer, but there's a hidden gem downstairs: a restaurant that offers a great alternative (although I personally haven't dined here). While it might lack the rooftop views, it adds versatility to the venue itself. Naked for Satan unquestionably embodies the essence of Melbourne's bar scene – a must-visit for any discerning drinker.
