Looking for an affordable meal? Just head to Rice Workshop! They have several branches, and this time, we visited the one at Melbourne Uni 🤩 It’s a Japanese-Asian restaurant with generous portions and REALLY budget-friendly prices 👍 The staff were nice too! However, seating near the shop is limited, so if you’re visiting with a group of friends, you can take your food to other campus tables to enjoy it‼️

🐥 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝘄𝗹 💰𝟭𝟯.𝟵 We ordered the mild spice level, which was tolerable for me as someone who doesn’t eat spicy food 🤣 The katsu chicken was pretty good—crispy on the outside and juicy inside 🥹

It’s been a while since I’ve visited the university, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that a lot of new eateries have popped up near the ERC! This time, I tried Rice Workshop*🍚.

You can place your order either via a machine or with the staff. Once your order is placed, they’ll give you a little device that vibrates when your food is ready 📳. From the time I ordered to when my food was ready, it took less than 3 minutes!

This place is perfect for students who are short on time, especially during those quick lunch breaks.

✨ Ox Tongue Rice Bowl I had the ox tongue rice bowl and added an onsen egg. Mixing the egg with the tender, juicy ox tongue was absolutely delicious!

✨ Char Grilled Chicken Curry The char-grilled chicken had a smoky flavor, with a slightly crispy skin and juicy inside, paired perfectly with the rich curry.👍

The overall vibe of the restaurant leans towards a Japanese style. The food comes out super fast, and it’s very affordable, with most dishes costing around $10-15. A great spot for students...

This time we are trying their premium grilled bowl, and it was next level🤤 Portion was huge, and very filling with lots of protein, veggies and the sauce was just perfect✨
