Went in with my wife and child this morning for a late breakfast and was treated amazing by the young staff, food was great, issue was the digusting glares from the owner and his wife, maybe(* the older brunette woman). You would have thought I walked in screaming and swearing or had just asked to rob the place! Owner made an effort to welcome all other patrons except us (not that I was looking for a red carpet roll out, just a little obvious when there are 10 tables and you go around greeting 9 out of the 10). I have had my run in with racism in Altona before, despite growing up in the area, but it situations like this when you walk in and are glared at by business owners like a pest, that make me realize its not over! I have been to this cafe a few times, with no trouble until today, I purchased a coffee and a piece of a Carrot cake with What I was assured was Cream Cheese Icing, I started to eat my Cake and knew straight away it was,nt said icing, it was butter cream icing, which after I ate it I had indigestion, which I don't get from Cream Cheese, that being said, it was more the staff's attitude towards me when I told them about it, they did,nt seem to care that I was,nt happy, then after second time I spoke to the manager named Bec, she stated the supplier tells us it's Cream Cheese, the girls are not lying when they told you it was cream cheese Icing, and then Stated what do you want me to do about it, I believe this girl had a very bad attitude, meaning.....no Customer service here, I guess as you are so busy, what's the loss of one Customer with a...

Great range of lunch items, decent coffee and efficient service.

Since moving to Altona over a year ago Salt n Pepa has been a go to for work from home lunches.

The foccacias are particularly good, but also love getting a cheeky pie or pastizzi from the hot food selection. Coffee is up to standard and service is always friendly and efficient.
