Please make sure to double-check your takeaway order if you’re getting food from this restaurant. If something is missing, they don’t take responsibility and will refuse any refund.
I actually enjoy the food here, which is why I brought my family on Sunday night around 6:30 PM. The dine-in was already closed, so we placed a takeaway order: 6 beef noodles, 1 pork ball noodle, 1 Pad See Ew, and 1 curry puff. I asked the staff to pack 1 beef noodle and the Pad See Ew separately, and the rest together.
A staff member brought out 3 bags and explained: • One had the beef noodle and Pad See Ew • One had the pork ball noodle and curry puff • The third had the rest of the order
We didn’t check the bags on the spot since it seemed everything was there.
Later at around 8 PM, after a long, tiring day, we finally sat down to eat—only to find the pork ball noodle was missing, and there were only 6 noodle soups in total. I had to share my meal with my sister. We even went out to check the car again, but it was clear one was missing.
We called the restaurant that night but got no answer. I followed up the next morning to ask for a refund, and later that evening asked if we could just get the missing dish instead. Unfortunately, they denied any mistake, insisted they had made 7 noodles, and refused a refund or replacement.
It’s not about the $17—we spent almost $150 and were really disappointed, especially when we were so excited for a family meal and one person went without. We don’t appreciate being made to feel like we were lying over one missing noodle soup.
Sadly, we won’t be returning. You’ve lost a big family that could have become...
Read moreI used to be a regular customer and the food used to be good. However, they have become complacent.
Ordered my usual noodle soup from them and asked for my usual 3 packets of green chilli ( it may seem alot but each packet has about 3-4 slices of pickled green chilli only). The lady over the phone as usual agreed to the order and the chilli packets without question.
However when I turned up, they said that each customer can have a maximum of 2 packets of chilli. Whatever was agreed on the phone was obviously null and void.
If they cannot provide the same amounts of condiments as I usually ask for they should say so when I asked over the phone, it would be perfectly reasonable. Agreeing over the phone and doing something else is not the way.
Did not feel good about this, and certainly not as a regular to one of my usual neibourhood restaurant that I try to support at this time. Perhaps they have become complacent. I also felt the food quality has overall fallen as well, the soup flavour is not as deep as what...
Read moreENGLISH A Thai restaurant at the gates of Melbourne, we just had to drop by. OK, when we arrived we quickly realized that obviously no "real" Thais are working there, but what the heck, anyone can learn to cook, so we gave it a chance.
The restaurant has a small dining room, a decent menu on which you can order many dishes in sizes like "small", "medium" or "large" and drinks that are served in cans or bottles. The portions were already quite considerable in "small", so be careful with "large"...;-)
Except for a misunderstanding regarding the temperature and spiciness of the ordered Laarb Moo, the service was courteous.... interestingly, it is apparently so here that the guests fill their "DoggyBags" themselves & pack - I have seen so for the first time.
All dishes were delicious! The fourth star is for the kitchen!
A tip from us, you should make the toilets - far in the back of the location - a little friendlier and ensure that always enough soap is available - also for the gentlemen of creation ...;-)
