Village Cantina Werribee — Restaurant in Melbourne

What can I say...we use to travel to Williamstown for Mexican now we travel to Werribee. Village Cantina Werribee is now our favorite Mexican. We ordered the Original Nachos and the Jalapeño Poppers (never had them before, just a nice amount of heat) a must try and the Chicken Quesadillas and Soft Shell Black Bean Taco. The Quesadillas are a BIG meal and ended up coming home with us. After my second Margarita, I forgot to take photos of the Churros with chocolate sauce which ended the meal beautifully. However I would recommend NOT sharing these, they are too good! The price is great and the staff, manager and atmosphere are chatty and lovely. The drinks are amazing, the lass behind the bar knows her stuff and they are mixed to perfection. I have never had a Chili Margarita but defiantly a go to for next time. At first I thought the cocktails were a little expensive compared to other places but the Tequila is top shelf, 2 was my limit and I am glad I wasn't driving or I would be swaying home walking :-) The only negative thing I would say and it is nit picking, is please get rid of the plastic baskets, they just look cheap and tacky, maybe use the black plate with a dusting of something on it or put some of your table sauces in a little bowl on the side. The cutlery could be on your serviettes on a plate but the baskets just look tacky. Congratulations on a fantastic restaurant it is defiantly what Werribee needs. Keep up the good work and...

We had the pleasure of savoring some of the most exquisite Mexican cuisine at the Village Cantina, Werribee. From the moment we walked in, I was enveloped in the warm, vibrant atmosphere of a traditional Mexican ambiance. The menu read like a love letter to Mexican cuisine, with each dish carefully crafted to showcase the country's rich culinary heritage. Standout dishes : The Baja cauliflower and its condiments… it was a total delight. The chilli fries with beef is highly recommended as well. Quesadilla Carne was brilliant and perfectly balanced. Throughout our meal, the service was attentive, always smiling and warm. The restaurant's vibrant decor, complete with colorful paintings, and very classy ambiance, it was like dining at an art gallery. Such a festive atmosphere. In short, my dining experience at Village Cantina was nothing short of exceptional. With its commitment to authentic, expertly prepared Mexican cuisine, warm hospitality, and vibrant atmosphere, this restaurant is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves Mexican food. As a South American food lover, this is the best Mexican and South American food restaurant ever in the West side of Melbourne. Every dishes, from meat, seafood to veggies, everything cooked to perfection. Prawn, calamari, fish are very fresh and cooked to just right, just like high end restaurant quality. Chicken are very soft and moist, very surprise dish to me. Pulled pork is super flavorsome. Chicken wings full of smoky flavor, very good. The churro are made in house, very crunchy outside and soft inside. Presentation of food are high end restaurant level and all dishes are high end restaurant quality with an average restaurant price. Multiple chilli sauces are available. Sauces are very good to complement food. Staff are super friendly and extremely good customer service. This is a huge restaurant, suitable for large groups.
