Was in the Hawthorn area looking for some lunch. I saw the amazing reviews and thought to pop in! Such a great variety on the menu. I ordered an oat iced coffee without cream or ice cream, and for food I had the Nourish Bowl with Smoked Salmon - everything was very fresh and tasted amazing. That goat cheese added that perfect saltiness in the dish and the honey lemon dressing was a amazingly balanced between sour of the citrus, and sweetness of the honey.
I also ordered a brownie for takeaway so total for my entire order was $43 approx.
Service was great. Really quick, kind, and attentive. Lots of people popped in for take aways and lots were also seated outside. I came in on a weekday noon so not too bad inside, but imagine on weekends this place would be packed! Inside they have about 4-5 tables good for 2 people. I didn’t go outside to see the seating but they seemed to have more spaces there as some groups also popped in for a meal.
I enjoyed my experience here and will be back with some mates next time!!! I need to try the bao buns and the shokupan...
Read moreFood was served super slow. I did not visit at the peak time, and ordered smash avocado with beacon on the side. Except the beacon, others were all toast heat up then cut and done. Even dishes like this, it still took them 40 minutes to prepare. The coffee was burnt. The bread was as dry as a hard rock. My Partner ordered egg benedict and he can taste the fried beacon(my side dish) from his potato rosti. About the Service, after finished the coffee, Im sure the waitress saw the empty cup But she still walked pass by(her hand was empty). Not asking if clean it off the table or if we want more coffee. The crowded feeling of this restaurant is simply cos they don't have enough room to host a normal customer volume given the suburb, definitely not cos they...
