What we had:

Super quinoa salad, with chicken, this was so fresh, tangy and delicious the cauliflower and sweet potatoes were a great addition to it. Must try. Something healthy yet tasty

Cameron and brisket tacos are extremely delicious, you can tell right from the first bite on how good quality and authentic these taste. These are super juicy as well. Highly recommend and also these come with good portion sizes of the protein in it.

Tinga di pollo, was my favourite and that crispy toastadas loaded with goodness of fresh greens and chicken was amazing. Loved it.

Classic pork quesadillas were so cheesy and yummy, once again the flavours are really good and delish. Must try.

El basico was such a refreshing cocktail to try.

We really had a great dining time here, they are busy on the weekends, buzzy with the footy crowds but they serve the most freshest Mexican feast in town. The service is prompt and the staff and owner are such welcoming, friendly and attentive folks.

Nothing more dissatisfying when the quality of food is not supported by the quality of customer service. We visited the restaurant few times before and had established a good sense of what to expect, a nice service and great food. Not this time unfortunately. The new faces amongst the waiting staff are a typical staff turnover life in hospitality industry…nothing to be concerned with . Unless….. On arrival to more then half empty place we were greeted by staff behind the bar . Since the restaurant had lots of empty tables I asked for a larger table near the window, there were undoubtedly few choices. Unfortunately we were told that the tables were reserved for large groups only so either we need to seat outside or take it seat at small table . I absolutely understand the table allocation is strategic in this business but taking into consideration the quite Sunday trade it was obvious there ain’t any reservation as we were told . Surely enough during our over 1 hour stay nobody arrived with exception of a door dasher. We left with a feeling of being uncomfortable and even the great quality of our meals did not compensate . First of all I have to say the food was brilliant. I would even say the best Mexican food in Richmond. Second, the service was awful. Made a reservation for 6:30, arrived on time and told no table available. Told to sit outside and order our food and drinks until a table was available. After 35mins nobody approached us, we went inside to ask what was happening. Advised that a table was being prepared. Drinks and starters arrived after 30 mins, then when the mains arrived, the staff didn’t clear the table of the dirty dishes. I was left to move the used dishes to a bench so we could eat. At no time during our meal did a staff member ask us for any more drinks, or offered to refill the empty water bottle. Wanting dessert, I went to the front to grab a menu, a staff member asked “can I help you?”. I told them we wanted dessert.
