experience at the restaurant, detailing poor hygiene practices by the staff. From the unsatisfactory hygiene of the middle-aged woman handling the food to various instances of unsafe actions like touching clothes and handling food without proper sanitation, my expresses disappointment and suggests significant hygiene issues at the establishment. I ordered two cups of coffee, a Salmon bagel and a vegetable egg scramble from this restaurant! While waiting for the food, I got to see the hygiene concept of the staff and was devastated by their actions! The hygiene of the restaurant industry of a middle-aged woman in charge of my food was so abysmal! My order food was on the bench Wearing gloves, she went out toward the outdoor table! She cleaned herself up by touching her clothes with that hand , Then brought a coffee cup for takeout from outside, threw it away in the kitchen, and started touching my order food without washing her hands or changing her gloves Waiting for the veggie egg scrumble, she applied the margarine of bread then touched and held the oven door handle, picked up the bread and put it in the oven. As she went to the kitchen, she touched her head again, and when a short-haired woman in the kitchen brought an egg scramble to a frying pan, she held on to the oven door handle again and talked to a short-haired woman without a mask While she never changed gloves or wash her hands!!!!! They put the food in a square tray without a lid and hand it to me, saying it's a takeaway food! It's a hygienic food that I can't really eat if I really know it!! Please People in the restaurant industry want to be more hygienic, especially at this times!!

One of my first 5 star reviews. Food was amazing, aside from my eggs with sujuk (mid Eastern spiced sausage) we were brought warm bread, lots of tiny baskets resembling a tasting platter, almost seemed like a mid Eastern tapas with fried haloumi, dip, olives, butter and strawberry jam and so much more. a bit noisy inside (expected I suppose) and we moved outside. kid friendly and plenty of variety for kids. mine ate all the Turkish bread. the gozleme was also incredible and came with tzatziki and haloumi and others tasty treats Staff were super friendly and accommodating and quite quick to respond or give us a minute. I found it very hard to fault siesta cafe. the name is a bit deceiving as this is no doubt turkish\mid eastern food.

Arrived at 2pm to a pastry/ bread based lunch menu. Waitress cleared table but didn't bother wiping. The cafe was well staffed and not particularly busy so no excuse. Turkish Golzeme and Burek were somewhat lean on filling. Acai smoothie had nothing healthy to it...loaded with sugar. Coffee was excellent. Siesta cafe is a good stop if you're needing a simple bite but not expecting much more.

I generally don’t post reviews unless I’m overwhelmingly happy or unhappy. Honestly really surprised at how many positive reviews this cafe has. We went on a saturday and the service was shocking (especially for a cafe that at the time had only 3 tables to serve and it seemed about 4-5 people working) The table we sat at was dirty so we asked if it could please be wiped down. The waiter said yes but never came back, just went back to chat with her friends behind the counter. Other tables were also offered water but we weren’t. We also weren’t told until after we had ordered that the kitchen was closed, (and there was no signage) and so even though my friend and I had ordered variations of the same thing, his was available to be ordered but mine wasn’t. They then didn’t let us know what we could order and what we couldn’t, just motioned over to the fridge, even though when I tried to order something else (from the fridge) was told some things that were on display also weren’t available because they required additions that came from the kitchen, even though there would be no way of knowing that just by looking at the sandwiches/wraps because they all looked full. Felt super confused and like I was annoying the staff by trying to figure out what I could and couldn’t order. Also saw other tables being brought food that wasn’t from the fridge. This further added to my confusion. What I ended up ordering was pretty good (a wrap) and well priced. although, my friend also ordered a wrap, with very similar ingredients, however his was somehow only 2/3 the size of mine? He felt kind of short changed as they were the same price. He also remarked that the chicken was dry and it wasn’t heated up well, while mine was. I had heard great things about the cafe so maybe the moral of the story is don’t go on a saturday or after...
