Such a disappointing experience. We arrived just before 3pm today to watch the Women’s World Cup game which Sporting Globe Mordialloc had promoted on their Facebook. When we asked where it would be played, the bartender checked with management and they kindly put it on the biggest screen. Which was great! We sat down and ordered some food. However, after about 15 minutes, the screen blacked out and changed to the AFL. The staff made no effort to come and let us know why the women's game had been changed, which is pretty disappointing considering we had specifically requested it AND it’s plastered all over their social media. The world cup game was moved to 2 smaller screens in the corner next to the door which were visible from maybe 2 tables max. On top of this there was absolutely no audio, so the claims on their social media of “women’s world cup every game live and loud” is bs. It feels extremely tokenistic on behalf of Sporting Globe to be promoting the Women’s World Cup on their social media, to then just put the games on a tiny little screen. This is an international tournament which is being shafted to the side for a domestic game which was between 2 interstate teams and had a 50+ scoreline - so not even a relevant game to be taking precedence over a World Cup game! Had we known the game would be on a tiny screen we would have gone to one of the many restaurants with better food and service in Mordialloc and just streamed the game from a phone. Unfortunately we were stuck there as we had already ordered our food and paid. Please understand we know AFL often is the more popular sport at these kinds of sporting bars, however, to promote their support of the Women’s World Cup on Facebook and then stick it on a tiny screen is very poor from Sporting Globe Mordialloc, which is what led us to write this negative review. Businesses like this need to do better for...

Salutations my fellow reviewers of “the sporting globe” here is my review from last nights Tom foolery (Sunday 26th may 2024)

me and a few of my acquaintances ventured out to the wonderful establishment known as “the sporting globe” as I frequent there a lot I knew what I was expecting going there on a Sunday night. But to my surprise boy was I shocked. I had one of the most amazing nights that I’ve ever had there and I always enjoy myself at “the sporting globe” but this time was different. This time I had an amazing waitress who goes by the name “Hayley” she was very bright and bubbly and she made the overall experience that much better. I did end up buying some desserts from her as she did recommend me to try them. She was an amazing waitress and made my night enjoyable and my friends haven’t stopped speaking of her. I would recommend “the sporting globe” to anyone and everyone because the drinks there are amazing mainly the watermelon lemonade cocktail. That is one of my personal favourites. The jalapeño bites were my favourite snack aswell as the cheeseburger fires which are always amazing. Now for the good part, DRINKS/BAR - a young man who goes by the name “Harrison” was at the bar and he was a very kind man. He was very talkative while making drinks and I knows how to have a good laugh. He was very efficient with the drink making as I did have to order for a group of us. I would always recommend to get drinks at “the sporting globe” as they never let you down. The beer towers are a favourite as-well as their cocktails. When we left last night we were all talking about how much of a fun time we had and how nice the service we received was. Keep up the good work Hayley and Harrison!! You guys were amazing last night and deserve to be praised. Looking forward to coming...

When arriving the lady told us to go upstairs ourselves and check if there was seating available. We had to then walk back downstairs to tell her there was. She told us someone would come to us and clean our table. So we then had to walk back upstairs to a table filled with empty plates. We ended up waiting 40 minutes at a table with food on it BEFORE EVEN ORDERING OR GETTING ACKNOWLEDGED. No one came to our table as she instructed so we waited for nothing like idiots. For the duration no one had greeted me and my partner and I was never told to order downstairs until WE HAD TO ASK the staff after 40 minutes of being impatient. When we were told they acted like we were idiots for not knowing!! When we finally went downstairs to order the staff serving us was impolite and told me my gift card wouldn’t work. I had to explain to do split payment as it was $50 and the purchase was $70. If I hadn’t spoken up she would’ve told me it declined or wouldn’t work. It did work and she said “oh that’s right”. When she gave us our number she didn’t say anything and walked off. When we came back upstairs our TABLE WAS TAKEN. The table we waited 40 MINUTES ON WITH EMPTY PLATES. We got our food 9:07pm and we arrived 7:45pm. Almost an hour and a half waiting!! When the food finally came my medium-rare steak I asked for was cooked well done and same with my partners. It’s very disappointing since I’m a regular and always eat at the joint and other Sporting Globes have always...

Lovely staff, great food and drinks. We went to the Sporting Globe Bar & Grill with some friends after a long day at the beach. Even though it was Boxing Day and service was a bit slow, the customer service was top notch and the managers were very nice. The staff were lovely too. We’ve got a round of cocktails which were great; pina coladas, mango coladas, very long island, coco pash margarita, and mojito. Our fav out of these was the classic pina colada. It’s hard to nail at home so it was a treat. The food was very nice too. Definitely recommended location for going out and hanging with friends.

Great feed, good amount of food. Very much a sports bar so go if you don’t mind your boy’s eyes glued to the many massive screens. MVP Parma would give 9/10. Mac and cheese bites yummy. Overall the food is a bit rich but still delicious. Beer battered fries are crunchy. You must order at the bar if you decide to sit on the upper levels so thankfully we looked at the menu while we were waiting in line already. There weren’t enough staff to clean the tables on the upper level so we cleaned the table ourselves.
