Ok Billy Souvlaki Bar — Restaurant in Melbourne

Last night I had the pleasure of dining at Ok Billy, & I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, the warm & welcoming atmosphere set the stage for a fabulous meal.

Our server, Locky, was nothing short of amazing. His engaging personality & genuine care for his customers made our visit all the more enjoyable. He took the time to ensure everything was to our liking & even made an effort to interact with my one-year-old, who was smitten by his enthusiasm. It was heartwarming to see a server who truly values the experience of all diners—adults & little ones alike!

Speaking of the food, I ordered the lamb gyro platter, & it was absolutely incredible. The meat was incredibly tender, bursting with flavor, & cooked to perfection. To my surprise, my one-year-old enjoyed it so much that she polished off her meal & even insisted on having the lamb before anything else! Which speaks volumes. We were a party of 7 & no one spoke anything ill of their foo, all plates polished & happy, full belly’s

One of the standout aspects of our visit was witnessing how well the staff worked as a team. Everyone was friendly and attentive, creating a seamless dining experience that felt truly special. It was refreshing to see such camaraderie among the staff as they supported one another, remained engaged in their work, & ensured that every guest was taken care of. No one appeared distracted or uninterested, & it was wonderful to see them smiling & interacting with each other—a rarity these days!

Overall, Ok Billy is a fantastic family-friendly spot that I would highly recommend. With its amazing food, impeccable service, & a welcoming ambiance, we will definitely be returning for another...

My family and I ordered the Moussaka and lamb gyros platter. I must say the food is fantastic. The gyros meat was flavorsome, not too over cooked. The sauces were very nice and authentic - can tell it’s homemade. Chips and salad were yum.. moussaka was a great hit amongst the kids. The only downside is the service. To be honest, I was pretty offended and upset as I was made to order through the app, which charged me a few , even though my family and I was dining in and the waitress did not even inform us before hand that there was gonna be a charge. However, another group of people who later came sat beside our table, was being looked after by the restaurant manager who took their orders and served them water as well (no water was served to us at our table). I had a baby and a child with me (I had to hold my baby on my lap and feed him) - the restaurant manager and waitresses working there saw me and my kids but didn’t bother to ask if I require a high chair. No table service at all apart from serving us our order. Restaurant manager completely ignored our table even though she’s serving the table beside us, waitresses only came to ask if we have finished our meals so that they can clear the table. I personally found my experience dining in here to be racially discriminated. Customer service at this restaurant definitely needs to be improved to treat all customers with equality...

Tonight the waitress has make a wrong order for me, first I had the first bite and thinking this is a capsicum stuff rice I was pointing at the menu that written calamari stuffed rice menu, who knows what that Greek name is… she didn’t even want to have a better check when I said to her where is the calamari in this dish she even said to me no calamari is deep fried.. I get confused thought I read wrongly the menu description. So being an experience dinner I don’t want to make a big fuss about it. I keep eating my dinner but keep feeling that I really craved for seafood. I then went to read again the menu true enough it should be calamari stuffed rice so I talk to her she asked if I want to order another dish… I mean how much I can eat really and it wasn’t my fault that she has gave me the wrong order. I wasn’t happy when the boss said no calamari stuffed rice is out of order and I had eaten half the wrong dish.. if she came to me in the beginning when I questioned things could have rectify correctly. And I still pay full Price… without showing any sorry.
