A review is necessary so residents in the vicinity are aware of what occurred. I suggest you to establish a relationship with the body corporate and communicate proactively with them. Today demonstrated a poor effort to engage with your neighbors and understand the neighborhood.
You’re only apologising because your behavior was called out.
It’s ironic that you now claim to "understand moving can be stressful" and "value respectful dialogue" only after I highlighted your aggressive behaviour —witnessed by everyone in the cafe, including your staff With Your Entitled meltdown to park infront of your cafe. Reflect on that.
The movers were unaware they were facing the wrong direction on a one-way street, a common mistake. The movers explained their situation while collecting their food and coffee orders inside your cafe. Yet you kept aggressively confronting them - to the point where one mover felt so uncomfortable he had to leave. I suggest you review your CCTV footage and reflect on your appalling behaviour.
Regarding the "significant disruption" you mentioned: Provide stats comparisons to Bendigo Street’s typical traffic flow. Barnett Way is not the area's main thoroughfare. Specify exactly which parking spots were blocked by the vehicle from reversing or moving forward , hindering resident or customer access to the cafe or building entrance.

Terrible Behavior from the Owner
The female owner displayed extremely poor character in front of her staff and supportive customers from the surrounding apartments. Her aggressive behavior was completely uncalled for—even after the building manager (who knows his job) explained where movers could legally park on the narrow road. (The road belongs to the building corporation.)
She then doubled down with the classic "Karen" attitude just because she couldn’t park her car directly in front of her café.
The most shocking part? Her audacity to keep blaming us for "blocking the road for over five minutes"—after I told her the movers were just waiting to pick up their food from her café.
I’m glad the other customers stood up for me and didn’t take her side. Clearly, she doesn’t understand that moving takes longer than five minutes. Shameful ! Makes me wonder why I have been supporting this cafe the whole time...
Read moreEvery time I travel down from Sydney, this café is one of my first and favourite stops—and for good reason. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and made with care. Whether it’s a hearty brunch or something light, every dish I’ve had has been spot on.
The coffee? Absolutely on point—both the regular and decaf options are smooth, rich, and crafted to perfection. As someone who appreciates quality coffee, I can confidently say it rivals the best in town.
What makes this place even more special is the warmth and friendliness of the staff. Whether I’m dropping in solo or visiting with my family, we’re always made to feel welcome. They’re attentive, genuine, and go out of their way to create a relaxed, enjoyable experience.
As a parent, it’s also worth noting how kid-friendly the space is—spacious, relaxed, and accommodating, which makes a big difference when you’re travelling with little ones.
The atmosphere is uplifting, the service is top-tier, and the entire experience keeps me coming back time and time again.
A heartfelt thank you to the team—you’ve created something truly special here, and it’s deeply appreciated by both myself and my family.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, coffee, and a warm welcome...
Read moreJust discovered this little hidden gem tucked away in a back street of Richmond! It’s new, and honestly one of the nicest cafés I’ve been to. The space is bright, airy, and full of natural light, creating such a welcoming vibe. The staff are super friendly, and the food is fantastic! I had the scrambled eggs on toast, and they were absolutely massive and delicious.
What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail, including a wheelchair-accessible bathroom! It’s rare to find a café in Richmond that’s not on a busy, noisy main road, and this one feels like a peaceful escape. Easily the most well-thought-out and inclusive café I’ve come across in the area.
Extra five stars for making accessibility a priority and caring about all customers. Highly recommend...
