I haven't been here for a long time and as this cafe is air conditioned it was a no brainer on a really hot day!
The service was warm and welcoming. I grabbed a seat looking out onto the street, which was great for people watching on this busy street.
My strong skinny latte was delicious, the coffee had a great flavour, their was some good milk froth and not too hot! Tick tick tick. Woo hoo lol.
Food wise I ordered some scrambled eggs on some seeded pumpkin bread. When it hit the table I was like whoa!!
The eggs were good, golden and tasty. This was a solid dish, and my only thing that let this dish down was the toast. The toast was quite dry, which was unfortunate.
Overall this was a good meal, great service and excellent coffee. Oh and the old school music was pretty cool. This place is definitely worth a visit.
Previous review July 2018 Called in here for a t/a coffee this morning. This is the ONLY cafe on Burnley St that I’ve seen open over the Xmas period. Yay lol
Which explains why this cafe was so busy. But the service was really friendly and lighting quick. Perfect!
Hey the coffee however was scalding hot!! Why???
I burnt my tongue trying to drink it so it was hard to taste the rest of the drink. A disappointing start to my day. But I’ll go back and specify a warm...
Read moreI live in the area and thought I’d grab a coffee from this place. The customer service was horrible from both barista and the tall lady at the counter. I’m a barista and have been working in hospitality for over 10 years, and wouldn’t ever treat my customers in this manner! I was in shock at how rude they were towards me. If I hadn’t paid for the coffee I would’ve left, felt so uncomfortable! Never ever again. Coffee was very average as well. Maybe if the service was better I wouldn’t have such a bitter taste in my mouth!! Plenty of other great coffee shops in Richmond, don’t waste your time and...
Read moreA friend introduced me to Jethro for lunch. I ordered the Vego Chilli Scrambled Eggs and my friend ordered a Soba Noodle salad. The portions were generous, in fact, more than generous, they were huge. My eggs were cooked beautifullly, soft and not dry and the chilli topping was spicy and done like a vegetarian mince - really tasty. I will order the soba noodles with salad next time. Lovely strong short black coffee as well. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, not always the case in hipster-style cafes. So with great food, reasonable prices, and lovely staff Jethro is on my...
