The main reason for leaving this review is horrible customer service and attitude of the wait staff. The wait staff who serviced at table was fine, had a happy smiley face polite interaction, she took my drink order but got it wrong which is fine could have been miscommunication which was fixed afterwards, no issues. However, the other lady behind the counter was extremely unpleasant to talk to, extremely bad attitude to work for customer service. Rude mannerisms, gestures, looks not a single drop of smile. When she brought my drink order which was wrong order I told her that’s not what I had ordered and before I say another word this lady, she looks at me and looks towards the counter and gives the unpleasant looks not a single apology or trying to even ask or understand what was wrong. Anyway, I didn’t wanted that interaction to get to me so still I ignored that attitude and I tell her myself in a very normal way that I asked for chai tea with no milk and she leaves from there no word idk what’s that suppose to mean. I go find the other table staff (who took my order) and tell her again because I am not convinced that the other lady even listened to me. Well anyways, we ordered smashed avo which was average no issues, soup however was 2/10 at best no flavour just bland frozen veggies cooked in a veggie broth only forced to consume half of it due to weather. When the soup came we had two spoons on the table and the same rude waitstaff comes and grabs one of the spoon and I thought maybe she thought it was mistake for one soup order so she took it back so I stopped her as she was leaving off the table, I said “hi! we will need that” and she looks dead in the eye no smile very unpleasantly replies “ I will give you the soup spoon”. Mind you we were trying hard to have a good time after all that interaction so we didn’t even looked at cutlery if it was or wasn’t a soup spoon, we probably wouldn’t have even asked for one as long as there was some kind of spoon (we are very easy and do not speak much unless it’s actually bad). The interaction could have been so polite and so smooth but it was so arrogant as if we were her kids and she was parenting us, what a terrible feeling to experience when we are sitting there with our happy face trying to enjoy our times and the person who is meant to feel you welcome is making you just wanna run. Ik it’s a local cafe but guys please train your staff better customer handling skills and how to smile. Nobody wants to come to a cafe see a dead face, unwelcoming attitude where you are made feel horrible for each interaction even though that’s the part of the job...
Read moreWe came here for a team lunch as the menu indulged decadent and health-conscious dietary requirements alike. The place quickly filled up with the nearby working crowd, so booking in advance was definitely a good idea.
My Ranger Bowl with poached salmon was a combination of fresh, wholesome ingredients with the Sriracha mayo adding extra flavour. My colleagues enjoyed their meals, both in taste and quality.
Service was perfunctory and the café was buzzing with the atmosphere of people in relaxed conversations. Sloane Ranger doesn't have many competitors until you hit Swan St but their offerings are worth the...
Read moreSloane Ranger is nestled in a cool area that really comes alive, especially around lunchtime—it definitely gets busy, but the energy is great! The outdoor area is fantastic, and it's super dog-friendly, which is always a plus. The coffee is top-notch, and the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Whether you’re popping in for a quick pick-me-up or staying to soak in the vibe, this place is a winner. Will definitely be back! Highly...
