I wanted to give 4.5⭐ for our dining experience & 6 ⭐ for the toileting labels, smart men work here 😁 But cant... we dined on a Wednesday night, made a 6pm booking was really impressed with the vibe and the staff were very prompt. However seamed we had to rush as our table was rebooked for 8pm. We ordered the pork belly and barramundi. Didnt really pear....The pork belly was lacking a little moisture was a bit dry after the 3rd mouth full even with the cauliflower puree couldnt help. Not sure about the pear texture and flavour. The crackle was perfection and im pretty sure everyone could hear me eating it 😄 The barramundi was devine had a very nice crispy skin and moist centre and the portion was perfect. We both left feeling satisfied and full. Notably the menu appears very similar to Brown Cow or vice versa where I was a month or so ago. Thank you Sons of Mary 🙌

By far the best bayside dining experience in a long long time. There is a reason restaurants like this are busy and survive the test of time. Firstly, efficient, fast and very professional staff (they almost appeared like magic just when you needed something). The food was incredibly generous, super fresh and so delicious. We chose eggplant chips which were crunchy (not oily) and so tasty, char sui pork bao buns, the chicken breast and seafood linguine. All absolutely superb. We then shared the cannoli (x4) for dessert. The wine and coffee were equally great. To top off a wonderful night in a beautiful and inviting space the bill was only $75 each (entree, main, 2 drinks, coffee and shared dessert). Bravo Sons of Mary. Can’t wait to come back.

Brothers Tim and Matthew Smith are the sons of Mary. After owning The Flinders Hotel in Flinders, The Brown Cow in Hampton and the London in Port Melbourne, they opened this spot a few metres away from their mum’s house and named it after her for fun. Being originally from the area, the duo knew it was lacking a good cafe-restaurant that stood out from the crowd. The converted warehouse does just that. There are bi-folding windows that open onto the street for summer, and an open fireplace to park next to with a hot chocolate in winter. Great service and food. We had breakfast special and Open Free-Range Omelette w/ Pumpkin, Baby Spinach, Caramelized Onion, Fetta, Toasted Pinenuts.

I was literally walking down Martin Street and looked down Spink street as lights caught my eye and I had to investigate and what a discovery (for me that is, place been here for years). I absolutely love how it's been decorated, part gentlemen's club, part ski lodge, love it! Got takeaway decaf soy latte and was tempted, but didn't succumb, to sweet treats on display. Had quick look at breakfast menu and know will definitely come here with husband to try. Lots of seating inside and out, street parking only. Also interesting, for me, that place owned by those who own Brown Cow in Hampton.

A fantastic restaurant. My first time visit and most certainly will be back. We had a great breakfast with bacon and eggs and the atmosphere was fantastic. We arrived just before lunch and got him for the rush. It may be advisable to actually book in advance if you want to guarantee a seat. Some tables are set up outside but I think this may be temporary regardless wherever you sit. The staff are fantastic and the food is of higher quality. Pocket is sufficient but I arrived before noon before it got real busy. I will be back

Love the place , the fireplace is the best part of it. The porridge is my favourite.
