💯✌🏻 This restaurant in Brunswick is unmissable, so I and my friend had to definitely check this place out. The restaurant felt as if it had been there for quite some time, just an observation. I really liked the simplicity of the place. Nothing too distracting, cozy and light. 😋💯 It was raining cats and dogs outsiy, so we decided to have some snacks in the evening. I ordered a Choley Bhature ($14.95) and an Aloo Tikki Chaat ($12.95) for my friend. The chaat arrived in about 10 minutes, although I had to wait a little longer for my food. One reason being that the restaurant opens at 5 p.m., and it was the day after new year, so they were preparing everything from scratch, which meant longer waiting time but delicious food. After about 20 minutes or so I received my food and it was very good. The bhatures were amazing, I just wished there was some more chholey to go with them, but with the curd, onions and pickles, I had a great culinary experience. Also, their menu is quite comprehensive, so there's a lot to choose from. My friend was similarly satisfied with his chaat, and he's a picky eater, so this compliment coming from him says something. 😀👨🏽‍🍳 The staff were amazing, especially Hari, who ensured that we were enjoying our meal. I'd also like to point that there was a small piece of plastic from a plastic container in the chaat, which we pointed out and weren't charged for it. Instances like this makes one appreciate the place even more. Overall, I had an excellent time in this restaurant and with so many diners arriving during the course of our meal, this place is definitely doing a great job!

Spice Mix management you have the worst understanding of how the business works. I have been going to many restaurants since I have been in Melbourne but I have never got a personal message for something in the middle of the night from the restaurant based on an assumption that you made in your head. First thing your staff should listen to the customers when they receive the phone calls. Secondly Mr. Hari you shouldn't lie that you answered my phone call for booking to answer my questions about BYO when someone else did which is very unprofessional bcoz later you brought someone else in front of me telling me that he answered my call. We requested for something which you declined we respectfully left without any further issues. Its just unacceptable behaviour texting someone in the middle of the night threatening to sue for a 1 star rating. I would suggest you to go ahead and sue me and my friends for that and Good luck proving that we posted anything like that. If u are in a business learn how to take criticism from people because you can't staisfy everyone. You are lucky I am giving u 1 star you don't even deserve that.

Ordered a half and half and got 95% rice? EDIT: I want to be clear. I obviously was not expecting a full curry. I go to many places and order this: half rice, half curry. Everywhere else knows how to portion. I wasn't asking for a giant bowl, just what you advertised. But what I received was not "250ml" - clearly seen in the box as PICTURED with 2 small pieces of tough lamb. This aggressive response from the restaurant is wild to me. You are advertising half a curry to accompany half rice and this is clearly not that. I got 2 mouthfulls of curry to an ungodly amount of rice. What you served in this small quantity for $15 I think would have turned you more profit than me getting a standard curry at your $17 price point in regards to ingredients quantity. EDIT 2: I don't review much at all so you should know it takes a lot for me. Your customers will see the truth from the pictures. Live your life, man. I just wanted to be fed and assumed you were an honest business like the other Indian places where I got this exact order with a reasonable amount of curry.

Fantastic, thankyou. I tried the hot goat vindaloo, beef Rogan Josh, lamb saag and coriander chicken, all of them were amazing. Very nice quality flavour, excellent meat textures... Really very happy with the curries. I have had a few curries in my time and I can tell from the pixels that these are legit.

The rice was also excellent and the onion bhaji appetizer was incredible, really made me wanna lick the crumbs off the plate.

My only slight criticism is that the garlic naan gets a 4.5 out of 5 because it was very very soft and garliccy and buttery... Now hear me out .. these are all great things... Just felt like some of the bread was overdone with too much ghee/butter... Which actually is not a complaint, I think it tastes phenomenal it just makes it a bit hard to eat more than two bites without feeling like I just had a dessert. Really nice everything all round, its a nice type of ghee butter flavour just yeah I think it was slightly a pinch too buttery to the point where the bread texture became gooey and wet rather than a breast texture it was more like... Fluffy... Dunno ... Not really a complaint.... I can still taste the garlic the next day. Love it.

Even the accuracy of the order and how friendly the staff are, I am impressed and very happy with the meal we had... Excellent thanks.

The saag curry is absolutely amazing.... I normally find the saag curry the least appealing but after I tasted this one last night, I am now a convert and I love the saag and I will try it again for sure cheers.

Good to know they also have a lot of gluten free and various dietary requirements foods available, really well...

Food is great and hospitality is excellent 👌 Mr. Biplove is very generous to make up a table when all the tables were booked (I recommend to give a call before coming).

Miss Shanti is a lovely girl, well presented and took my order very accurately. Suggested some dishes to compliment the starters I ordered.

I have ordered chikken tikka, which is sizzling and piping hot. Flavour and yoghurt marination is awesome. Chicken is well cooked and smoked well which added perfect tandoori touch. Onions and cabbage salad is garnished on hot pan which got burnt, I wish they serve salad separate with mint sauce instead of garnishing on pan.

I also ordered mango chicken with butter naan. Chef played well with the flavours of mango chicken. Spices and mango nectar was a perfect balance in the curry. Though it is on sweeter note, tasted incredible and went well with butter naan bread.

Manager/owner took some time to come out of kitchen to address every customer to grab honest feedback. Which is really great and shows their dedication towards the industry and business in general.

Overall a great experience and will visit again when I...
