The Balcony Shisha Bar — Restaurant in Melbourne

Just a casual Tuesday night around 11pm where a bunch of friends and I wanted to chill so we went to Balcony Shisha Bar to have a kickback/catch up Shisha sesh. All was well when we arrived, picked our seat and I began to head to the counter to order. It seems like the owners were not in so there was 3 young men looking after the joint and my god was their customer service appalling. I ordered the usual Shisha, 2 bottles of Water and a Lemon Lime Bitters on their menu, paid and waited... the Shisha came out and I was still sitting there waiting for my drink for at least 20 minutes till I got up to head to the counter and asked wheres my drink? The fellow then told me that they don't have any bitters and offered me a Sprite instead?????

Um, first you didn't have the item on the menu and still allowed me to order it then pay for it, second is instead of informing me you don't have the item and made me wait like an idiot hoping I would forget all about it and finally you then wait till I approach you and then offer me a Sprite instead which was much cheaper than the Lemon Lime Bitters I paid for.

So I ordered another drink and just thought meh whatever I'll just let it go. Food we ordered later came up and I was looking for napkins for the food so I approached the workers again and asked if they have any napkins? The guy then goes yeah, yeah, yeah and then proceeds to sit with his fellow workers or friends and smoked his shisha and ignored me. After that I realised that this place is legit horrible and why bother spending my money here when I could've spent it at another Shisha place?

TL;DR Worst customer service ever legit do not even bother coming here unless the older owners are working else the younger workers would treat you like trash. Surprised this place is even still open compared to other Shisha joints. At least they changed coals from...

Not bad. Great selection of shisha flavours and the guy who runs the place really looks after you. He was super friendly and helpful even though I don't look like I belong in a place like this. The atmosphere is quite poor though. They do serve alcohol (beers and a range of cocktails) but it's quite difficult to relax and chat. The music is too loud and obnoxious. It's like a hip-hop/gangster rap playlist, and if that's not what you like you may have a hard time enjoying your company. Sit outside on the balcony if you want to chat; it's not ideal on a cold night, however. It really kills an otherwise great shisha place. Unfortunately no snacks (that I saw, anyway) and is cash-only. An ATM is available though....

Upon entry it looked dark, gloomy and miserable but we were keen for a puff. The (only)waiter dropped off the menu but we already knew what we wanted as this wasn't our first shisha rodeo. They told us to order at the bar and left right away.

We went to the bar and ordered. Then told items weren't available, one would think we should have been told half the menu wasn't available when the menu was delivered.

Anyway our drinks finally arrived in dirty glasses and shisha glass half broken. So it was shyte overall, one star rating is...
