The service at this venue tonight was deplorable.

We come regularly to the venue and enjoy the burgers. Tonight we brought friends of ours with the expectation of enjoying a good and casual meal as usual.

We were seated at 6:30 and ordered our food promptly.

This is where things decline unfortunately…

We were sat for 90 minutes until 8pm confused and starving. Not one waiter tended to us during this period. When we reached out to the waitress who served us, she continued to frantically move back and forth between us and the front counter unsure of what to do. It was clear at this point that a major error had been made.

She then proceeded to tell us there was a “glitch” in the system and our order did not go through. Pay attention to the quotation marks. For starters, we would appreciate you owning up to your mistake of simply not putting our orders through.

We then received our 4 burgers promptly afterwards, dry and stone cold…. They were hideous to say the least. A far cry from what we are used to at the venue.

When we preceded to the counter to pay, the bald gentleman greeted us frostily. No apologies or accountability. Just pure arrogance.

When we explained our experience he proceeded to express his “ownership” of the venue with zero regard for what occurred. The line “what do you want me to do about it” resounded loudly to say the least. Never in my life have I been treated with such utter disrespect at a venue that I have frequented so often for the last 5 years.

You would expect at the very least that a venue would be deeply apologetic and offer drinks on the house as a nice token.

We got 1 drink removed from the bill begrudgingly with a “are you happy now” smirk.

That is not how you treat any customers fish and burger co. You truly have left me with a fishy taste in my mouth….

Although your my local burger joint, you will not catch me or anyone I know stepping foot in this place again. Head to royal stacks in stead 1km down the road.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere with excellent customer service and delicious menu that makes it difficult to choose what you want. Amazing! So lets break it down…

Atmosphere: * Great looking store with large open dining rooms. Very tidy and clean with a warm feel, definitely family friendly or a great place to grab a few mates and head down for a feed and a few laughs. Excellent.

Customer Service: * Outstanding! Great warm welcome, offered to our table and orders taken promptly. Was provided complimentary water and glasses for the table and we were checked on throughout the meal to ensure everything was satisfactory. Food was delivered under 10 minutes and the table was bussed within about 5 minutes of us finishing. Can’t really ask for better than that. Well Done!

Food (Why we are here): * “Hey Hombre” Burger with chips $21.90 & “Squid Inc” Burger $15.90

Chips: Seasoned with herbs and salt, these chips are a winner. Super crisp on the outside and supremely soft on the inside. Perfect. Hey Hombre Burger: Was a very tasty burger, the bacon was smoky, the meat was rich and flavourful & the additional accompaniments were very fresh and delicious. Squid Inc Burger: Calamari Burger, friend had this one and all reports back were that it was absolutely amazing. Certainly going to try this one next time around.

Both burgers hit the spot and to top it off the bread was amazing – lightly toasted but still so soft and fresh.

Overall: This place really hits all the marks and with their extended array of menu items you may have trouble selecting what you want to eat. In addition, the comfortable environment and welcoming service really completes the experience. Excited to try more of the menu. ...

Popped in for a quick dessert treat tonight for my daughter's birthday as she had seen pictures of their super shakes and we promised she could have one on her birthday. Little did we know that one super shake would cost us more than the burgers on their menu! $17.90 for a Nutella Tim Tam Supershake - when the takeaway price was $9.50, we definitely expected to pay more for the dine-in presentation but as the dine-in price is not listed on their menu or POS signage anywhere it came as quite a shock when we went to pay the bill! On top of this super exy super shake, we also ordered a serve of the Churros but when the waiter took our order he asked if we would like to add some ganache or ice cream to the churros - I asked the waiter, pointing to the menu description (which says they are "served with our sticky & morish chocolate ganache sauce) "don't they come with ganache?" to which he replied no, you have to add the ganache to the churros as a side, so we did. When the churros came there were two dipping bowls of ganache indicating that they did come with ganache and we had just added an extra serve of ganache unnecessarily as we couldn't even even finish one bowl of the super sweet chocolate ganache (which we paid an extra $3.50 for). Thinking the staff need to learn the menu properly here so as not to upsell customers unnecessarily and leave a bad impression. We used to enjoy the burgers (though always found them on the pricey side compared to other better burger joints) as well as the gelato here but I doubt we will return again or recommend this place anymore after this latest experience, especially now there are more options with better products, service and prices...
