It's a Friday afternoon the end of another working week and in the spirit of the classic VB Ad we had a 'hard earned thirst' What a better way to to finish the week ,with a tasty craft beer from Foragers Drop...so in 'good spirits' we wander up to the bar, which only had 6 people in it,as we were about to select our beers we were barely acknowledged by a bloke behind the bar I won't say served as we weren't..keeping in mind we thought we were in a 'happy place' this bloke certainly wasn't,he was rude and disrespectful. When we did order a beer he asked one guy''Hey mate can you move out of the way" as he poured our beers which I'm sure was painstaking for him..he abruptly says 'tap' I'm thinking Tap? a sink tap? I figured he meant Tap and Pay...I said ''No cash'' which I handed over $21 he gave me change not a word was spoken.couldn't even say thanks. So we take a seat quickly drank our beers, called our friends that were going to meet us here, then we headed to Track 8 another Craft beer venue with a much better ambience and attitude...Oh by the way the bloke in question was...

The little hidden gem, as masked by the tardis, with a whole lotta community spirit and real family vibe. Best bar in the eastern burbs. Sunday chillax with local musos is the best. Pool table for the traditional pub vibe, but lots of games for the families and kids. Caters to everyone. Every time I come here there is always a good mix of young and old, locals/ regulars and newcomers. Everyone I know feels welcomed and every a little protective of what the owner and staff have created here. The drop is for everyone, with a enticing variety of quality craft beers on tap (including a hand pump pour of deliciousness), then there is the gin and whisky walls. If you don't find something that fits your tastes and budgets then don't think you will find it anywhere in Melbourne. Sitting right near a train line (and multiple busses routes) is brilliant for leaving the car at home and having an...

Best place to drink a beer in the eastern suburbs. Large selection of tasty craft beers. These beers are exclusive and hard to find elsewhere. I'm extremely impressed with the diverse range of dark and light styles and rich flabours. Prices are fair and resonable, and even excellent when compared to other bars. The most family friendly pub I have ever been to. Board games avaliable for all to play. Free drinks to kids. Outdoor area for some fresh air. The staff are very down to earth and will talk you through all different beers. Order food from any venu and the staff are happy for you to eat inside the pub! And there are lots of amazing places close by that will deliver to your table. Its a fun experience to call for a take away dinner to a pub and have it delivered to your table. I am verry impressed. I think this will be...

One of Mitcham's finest little gems, hidden in plain sight along the Mitcham shops on Whitehorse road is an unassuming staircase that leads up to a beer lovers paradise! With a rotating billboard of over 15+ on tap beers 🍻 you will always find something fresh and frothy to drink, or you can always ask for your favourite mixers as well, the spirits collection is just as extensive as the beer. Plenty of indoor seating for groups large and small, private booths, outdoor area for those who wish to enjoy a smoke with their drink, pool table and board games to help pass the time when the chat runs a little stale. In regards to food they have a very generous byo policy so just either bring your own or order some delivered to the shop. There's no other spot like this, simply unreal and great locals to mingle with and make new friends.

A place that is hard to pick from the street but once you know about it you'll want to be a regular. Right next door to a small bottle shop on the main street there are stairs leading up to the first floor where you'll find a cool bar catering for most tastes. Plenty of taps serving craft beer (sorry no big commercial beers here), wine and whiskey. There's a pool table (pool comp on Tuesdays) plenty of board games and even a PlayStation running an emulator of old school games up on the big projector screen... There's even a fortune teller. As well as plenty of seating there's an outdoor rooftop area for the smokers. Enjoyed the visit and happy to come back.

This relaxed, cosy venue is a great place to meet up with friends for a relaxing beer. A rare find in the Eastern Suburbs, the Forager's Drop's commitment to high quality, independent beer is clear, with typically up to 11 varieties of beers on tap (with new ones all the time), well priced, especially during happy hour, choosing your drink can be a challenge. Seating options include beer hall style tables for large groups, old school style, well worn, extremely comfy leather couches for smaller groups as well as a beer garden. Outside food from local vendors is also welcome to be brought in and eaten on the premises. Watch out for gremlins on the walls.
