I recently dined at The Nepalese Corner & was thoroughly impressed. The pork momo were exceptional flavourful, perfectly cooked, & served promptly. The ambience was warm & inviting, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. Service was equally impressive; the young gentleman at the counter (apologies for forgetting his name) was both courteous and welcoming. A special shoutout to the chef/owner, whose dedication & skill are evident in every aspect of the restaurant. It was a pleasure to chat with you & I truly appreciate the passion you bring to your work. I will certainly be returning to The Nepalese Corner & highly recommend it to others.

Loved this sweet Nepalese restaurant in Coburg! Genuine and nice service, unique interior and absolutely delicious food! I had - Entree, Dharane Aalu Nimki (spiced potato/peas/tomato's in a traditional sauce) Main, Jhol chicken momos (chicken dumplings in a really flavourful soup) They also have on offer a variety of cocktails and Shisha if that is your thing ☺️. If needing catering or a space for an event - they can certainly do that too! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - JJ BRUNCH GAL

This place takes reviews seriously. I always order aalu nimki and laphing here. Best aalu nimki I've had in Melbourne so far. They've made a real improvement with the momo - it was literally dripping with juice, I was shook. Laphing is so much delish than the first time I had it. Also down to earth customer service. I'm a regular aalu nimki and laphing customer 🤭

We arrived at the restaurant with high expectations looking at their reviews. There were two groups of six and two groups of four people. We asked for a table for two, got seated, and the waitress came to take our order in around five minutes. We ordered 1 Chatpate, 2 Sausages, 1 Momo, and a Khaja Set and planned to order a Thali Set at the end.

Twenty minutes after placing the order, the waitress came back and asked if we wanted our Chatpate "gilo" or "sukkha"; we chose "gilo." The Chatpate arrived ten minutes after that. It was average at best, given the long wait time.

We thought that since they had started serving our table, the sausages would arrive soon. However, the waiting game began again. By this time, the tables that were occupied when we first arrived had started leaving after finishing their meals.

It had been a bit more than an hour, and looking at the staff, who were working with no rush, I decided to ask what was going on with our order. I called one of the waitresses and asked about our order. She said she’d go and check. She then yelled at one of the kitchen staff, saying, "Yo Chatpate wala haru ko order k bhayo?" Referring to customers by the food they ordered instead of using table numbers felt very unprofessional.

She came back with our handwritten docket and asked us what we had received so far from our order. It was clear there was no sign of them preparing the rest of it. I told her that if they hadn’t started preparing the rest of the order, we would leave, to which she apologized and said they were too busy to look after our table.

Having worked in the hospitality sector myself, I know it wasn’t busy, and the staff were not in a rush at all. No new tables arrived after us, so I couldn’t see why our table was left unserved. Even the table next to us felt sorry for us.

Clearly, the management needs to improve service and staff coordination. The restaurant didn’t have any music playing the entire time, which made the atmosphere dull and unwelcoming.

We ended up going to a different restaurant in Glenroy, which we normally visit, and the entire order was served...

The Nepalese Corner is a hidden gem in Coburg, offering an authentic taste of Nepalese cuisine with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with warm hospitality, making you feel right at home. The restaurant beautifully blends traditional Nepalese decor with a modern touch, creating a perfect setting for a relaxed dining experience.

**Talking From Experience: Food Review : ●Momos (Dumplings): Their handmade momos are a must-try! The juicy filling, wrapped in a perfectly steamed or fried shell, pairs wonderfully with the homemade dipping sauce. Whether you choose chicken, buff, or vegetarian, every bite bursts with flavor. ●Chicken Sekuwa: This dish is a standout—grilled to perfection with just the right balance of spices, it has a smoky aroma and a tender, flavorful bite. ●Goat Curry: A true taste of Nepal, the goat curry is slow-cooked to perfection, rich in spices, and incredibly satisfying when paired with fluffy basmati rice. ●Thakali Set: The ultimate Nepalese feast! Served with dal (lentil soup), pickles, greens, rice, and your choice of meat, it is an authentic and hearty meal that showcases Nepalese culinary tradition.

Service & Atmosphere: The service is exceptional—staff members are friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to recommend dishes based on your preferences. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it ideal for both casual dining and special occasions.

Final Verdict: If you're looking for a place that serves high-quality, authentic Nepalese food in Melbourne, The Nepalese Corner is a fantastic choice. With its rich flavors, generous portions, and top-notch hospitality, it truly delivers one of the best dining experience. Highly...
