30 Mill is my daily ritual, my happy place, and hands down my favourite café in town.

The coffee? Unbeatable. Every cup is brewed to perfection, consistently smooth and full-bodied — easily the best you’ll find anywhere. And today’s standout? The mushroom medley. Earthy, rich, and delicately seasoned — it tasted like something straight from a forest feast. Every bite was nourishing, deeply satisfying, and beautifully plated.

They’ve recently renovated, and the vibe has elevated to another level — warm, inviting, full of beautiful colours and thoughtful architectural touches that make the space feel calm yet alive. It’s like the cafĂ© gave itself a warm hug and invited everyone in to share it.

But what truly sets 30 Mill apart is the people. The staff feel like family. I go in every morning and am greeted with such kindness and warmth — it honestly makes my whole day. That kind of genuine connection is rare and so appreciated.

If you’re anywhere near this gem, don’t miss it. And if you’re not — it’s worth the...

I have only been here a few times. I live so close to this place but each time I have been I have had a bit of a poor experience. The first time I went (admittedly was at least 6 months ago) I ordered a takeaway almond magic and it was made with dairy milk. I took it back and requested to be re-made, but the barista refused and insisted it was almond. I didn’t leave a review as it was busy and so I didn’t want to give it a bad rep for just a one-off. I visited today, the service is not friendly. The staff seem to be under pressure - maybe staff more? I know wages are costly but if their service is suffering because of pressure, changes need to be made. I ordered a takeaway chicken and salad sandwich. I think for $15, it could have more chicken. I think 3 small pieces is not exactly worth the money. I can absolutely appreciate cost of goods, but this was a bit of a shame.

I would usually speak to the staff, but they seem so disinterested. It’s a shame because it’s so close to my house, but I choose to...

I made a phone order for a Buddha Bowl. When I went there to pick up my order for they said that they didn't have a Buddah Bowl on the menu, when I showed them the photo for a Buddah bowl on their menu they said that it was from their covid menu, when I told them that I was still able to order it they then said that they had made a Burrito bowl. I felt flustered, put on the spot and no apology for the miscommunication. I paid for the burrito bowl instead that was already prepared and went home to eat it but it it just wasn't a pleasant eating experience at all.

Upon looking at their new menu, they had a Green Brekky Bowl and a Roasted Cauliflower Salad that they could have offered me instead, which is much closer to the order I originally had.

The lack of decent, basic customer service and lack of communication just made my...

Cute cafe tucked away in Milton Parade conveniently located across the road from the train station serving delicious Inglewood coffee. I’ve been here a few times, this time I had a takeaway coffee and it was good! It’s quiet inside, has enough seats for outdoor dining and a coffee window for your quick takeaway coffees and treats. For more photos please follow me @splitthebill on Instagram, fb & TikTok.

Falls below what you expect for a Melbourne cafe. 1. Actual chicken in the burger is half the size of the bun. 2. The chicken and fries taste like something from the supermarket frozen aisle 3. Coleslaw looks straight from a coles pack. 4. Even the bun taste like it’s been bought days ago. Plenty of other cafes around that are better for the same price.
