Toil & Trouble — Restaurant in Melbourne

Stumbled upon this gem looking for a place for a drink before dinner. Were greeted with fantastic and friendly customer service and staff who are very knowledgeable.

The bartender is up to some real magic behind the scenes, and makes a lot of the cocktail ingredients in house. We had the Cats Paw and Dirty Chai Martini which were expertly made. We loved hearing about the process behind the scenes in making the watermelon rum which involved so many processes including setting it on fire!! I also tried the Rose Quartz and I can not express enough it was probably the best cocktail I have had in Melbourne, unlike anything I've tasted before. It really takes you on a journey of flavours. Incredible craftsmanship, a must try.

Incredible dining experience, me and my friends we througly surprised by the food! The food seriously packs a punch with bold, original flavours. THEY FINALLY ARENT VEGAN!!!

Have been avoiding this spot because my partner and I love meat and seafood . Not sure what propagated the change but meat is on the menu ! We had the lamb Gnocchi, the duck leg and barramundi. Wow just wow. Best spot on the entire street I reckon. Absolutely flawless. And if you are after some vegetable dishes they all looked and smelled fantastic as they walked past to other tables. A true hidden gem that I hope won't be hidden...
