Uncle Drew Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

The meal I had was good, but quite small, I needed to order something else after finishing it so I was actually full. I think if the meal is so small and not substantial at all it should be reduced in price. We finished our lunch at around 2pm, it was quite a cold and rainy day and apart from another couple it a just me and my friend left there. The staff turned the heater off in the back room where we were sitting so it became very cold and no longer a warm and cosy environment. It felt like the staff were trying to push ups out, the cafe was open for another hour so I'm not sure what their rush was, but I think the staff need some training in hospitality and how these things aren't...

☕️ love their cold brew, perfect balance of sourness and bitterness, sparkling coconut water was 💯 🏖️ cute tiny space, most tables are very close to each other. 🍴 The flavour of the dishes were on the heavier side — the sautéd vegetables are covered with oil, the avocado breakfast were very salty with too much olives, and the toasties are super oily too. Personally I find the food very filling but unhealthy l. Loved the location, atmosphere and the service. Uncle Drew's Cafe is a perfect place to stop if walking/cycling the Merri Creek Trail or Capital City Trail. I walked my dog before meeting a friend on Saturday 5th November, what was a quiet place at 8.30am with choice of tables was really busy by 9.30am. I liked there were bigger tables for larger groups, people could sit with their dogs comfortably and those getting take away fitted perfectly amongst it all. Food was delicious, I enjoyed the Halloumi and Pesto Egg Scramble sandwich on sourdough, good portion size and set me up for the day! Looking forward to...
