My partner and I decided to stop here yesterday morning on a whim, instead of one of our usual places. I am delighted that we did. I got the bean cassoulet with sucuk and (because I was extra hungry) a side of bacon. I asked them to swap out the usual bread for Turkish, and they happily obliged. It all began with the egg: it was perfect. The yolk was gooey and runny until the last drop. The cassoulet itself was very tasty without being overwhelming, the sucuk went with it perfectly, the bread was an excellent mixture of crunchy and fluffy, and the bacon was chunky and meaty (attention pug owners: our pug got bits of egg on bread, and we met another pug while we were sitting there). I got an iced latte, to which they added a bit of ice cream: I hadn’t ordered the ice cream, to be honest, but of course I wasn’t going to say no once it was there. I was very surprised and very happy with my meal. My partner got the croque Monsieur, which was very good: the serving size was simply too much to finish. To top it all off, the staff were authentically attentive and responsive, without being cloying. We will be back!

On an autumnal day, it’s always nice to share food with family. So many choices available in Yarraville but this place won us over with its online photos. Order with the QR code and your meal will arrive in under 20 minutes. Considering there were 5 of us, that’s impressive. Portion sizes were good and presentation mouth-watering. Service was fast and efficient. Reasonable value for money. We ordered: eggs Benedict, fritters and other popular selections. Done indoors or out. Right next to Yarraville Railway Station. Parking is hot and miss depending on the day. Thank you to the team for making a memorable lunch.

Ordered via Deliveroo. Honestly, their smoothies are the worst and most overpriced that I have had. The strawberry smoothie tasted like someone had a strawberry in the vicinity of the milk rather than in the smoothie. My wife had the banana smoothie and again had the same emotions. For $7.50 a pop, I expected to taste the fruit and not just milk with a hint of other stuff. Having said that, their Pulled Beef Sandwich was okay. It fell apart a little bit but otherwise it was decent. Extremely expensive and definitely wouldn't spend the money on takeaway.

If I could give zero stars I would. My beautiful girlfriend and I were super hungry after a big night of winning at the casino, and were on the lookout for brunch with so much new cash to splash, do not be fooled by the broadsheet mention, Wee Jeanie was an abomination. The location is fine, the outside seating is nice, however I found a shockingly large bit of plastic in my pancakes, besides the plastic, the pancakes were stodgy, rubbery and tasted like a car tyre. My aforementioned beautiful girlfriend went for the “smashed avo”, which came with something that the cafe calls preserved lemon, and jam. The preserved lemon is the most unhinged addition to smashed avocado that a human can think of, it was simply awful and inedible, there is no flavour I have tasted that I can compare it to. Service was polite but at times very strange, the waiters were at times overly affectionate towards each other, but not to us. This is a time where “every dollar counts in hospitality” but be cautious spending your...

Wish I could do justice in explaining how much I love this place and the people that work there. Ever since Chef Mandeep and Co came along, this place has been a part of my morning routine; Always the best coffee and happiest, kindest people to see in the morning. The space itself is beautiful inside to sit if you want to work on a laptop and keep warm (they have plugs for charger cords too) or the lovely outside joining the green space if you want to enjoy the outdoor sun and vibrant village or if you are on the run the window next to the train station is so convenient. Accomodate to dietary requirements too (I’m vegan and always feel included.) Thanks for the service Wee Jeanie 💖 Hazelnut soy latte iced or warm for...
