Zambrero Richmond — Restaurant in Melbourne

I would like to give a big thank you to everyone at Zambrero again, especially the person who I spoke to on the phone whose name unfortunately slipped passed me (but I'm sure she knows who she is). After a long, long day, all my partner and I wanted to do was relax with a beer and some tacos. But after our DoorDash order was stolen, and the driver ghosted us, the anger gave my partner a second wind, and he managed to take a Lime down to Zambrero to pick it up for us. Despite it being right before closing, we could still call in and get a last second order. The staff were friendly and understanding- I'm very happy with how everything turned out. The food was absolutely delicious, and still warm when he got back despite the rain. I could be mistaken, but I think we even got a few extra jalapenos on the tacos.I recommend trying the barbacoa beef with red chilli sauce in a taco, it is...

I am sorry, never rated any place so badly, this is my second time i go to the shop on swan street because i think should support local businesses during pandemic, the staff are useless first time i thought the girl was new which is fine, the portion was very poor, but today i went the guy was serving a customer he finished making the burrito to him and started having a laugh and asked me sorry wont be a moment instead of calling another staff member like all other stores do, however after 7 min of wait he decided to call his colleague from the kitchen and that one barely knew what he is doing didn't know the difference between two different plates, and after finishing my plate he asked me if i need a fork and i was dining in as if i will eat it by fingers?? No wonder why its always quite! The whole staff needs training very poor customer service!...

Thank you to the staff and manager. Definitely a better experience the next visit.

I didn't even get a chance to order. I walked in, and stood at the counter where one young worker was training another.

After a minute or so, the trainer signalled to me that they wouldn't be a moment, and I nodded, happy to wait.

At least two minutes later, the trainer went into the back, signalling that the trainee should serve, as I was waiting at the register and another customer had walked in a couple of minutes after me and was waiting at the opposite end.

So the trainer proceeded to serve the customer who had walked in after myself, as the trainer proceeded to do something in the back area. So I left.
