Jamaica Blue Midland Gate - Near Coles — Restaurant in Midland

Jamaica Blue near Dymocks has once again delivered the most amazing poached eggs on toast and a delicious oat milk decaf cappuccino. However the star of my experience today, was one of the best waitresses I have ever seen since I started working in the food service industry almost 40 years ago. Fast, friendly and efficient. In an era where all to often we walk into cafes with messy tables laden with dirty dishes, this young lady was like a whirling dervish. Clearing plates, cleaning tables, smiling at customers and bringing food and coffees as soon as you heard the “ding” from the servery....

I’ve had coffee and food from Jamaica Blue before and as far as chains go, they have nice tasting produce.

What I can’t abide, however, is the outrageously priced coffee. A Large, Oat Milk Flat White cost me $6.20. I’ve had the same coffee at many other cafes around Perth and never paid more than $5.50 (and that was at what I consider one of the best Cafes in Perth). Most places my order will come to a flat $5.00 though. How then does a chain cafe that uses the same Oat Milk as most other cafes justify having the most expensive Flat...

Now make sure you get the right Jamaica Blue if visiting this shopping centre.

There are two at Midland Gate.

This one near Coles is operated by professionals Ken and Keith. Operates smoothly, friendly and a good atmosphere.

Food is fresh and presents well. Today well had corn frittata with salad and bacon. To drink a new strawberries and rose spritz. Yum!

The other end of the building is another Jamaica Blue - I can say the opposite...
