Spend the long weekend in the Mallee and Mildura, first trip out of lockdown and had a wonderful time, we looked forward to spending our $ in regional Vic as they have done it hard, but sadly our trip ended on a sour note when we went to get a bite to eat before the 7hr drive home.
The guy in front of us in the queue was a regular and double vaxed, didnt have his phone on him as they asked for proof and was declined service.
We then asked for takeaway and once again asked for our proof. We are not vaccinated, and we know that our only option is to order take away which is fine, but to our shock Banjo's bakery was declining serving unvaccinated take away, even though we were right there in the store at the counter anyway, whilst i had a take away coffee in my hand from a cafe just down the road (Shout out to Blk Mlk, still serviced us for take away with a smile and didnt discriminate).
As we are unvaccinated we made a concerted effort to understand the rules of what we were allowed to do, ordering take away from any hospitality / cafe / restaurant / food shop was one of them.
Sadly, Banjo's Bakery was the only shop on our trip that discriminated against us, and they chose above and beyond the CHO directions.
In a round about way, im glad they did because i would never want to spend a cent at any shop that discriminates against anyone.
Will never support a Banjo's...
Read moreJust went in with my twelve year old child for coffee and breakfast. Used my fone to use the QR on the way in As I was ordering the rude sales lady insisted I wasn't from regional and demanded I'd. Also said I didn't sign in even though it's still on my services app. Showed her I'd showed I live a hundred km away..she still berated me and her attitude sucked. I then told her I'd go to a better shop for coffee and left. Although I understand the whole covid issues..there absolutely no need for the way she just spoke to me like a leper in front of everyone like that. We're ALL in this together it's not them against us. Good customer service is free. So is a smile. I'm assuming this store speaks to most customers this way so you'll never see my money ever again. Isn't worth being a scapegoat for shop assistants feral mood swings. I kindly suggest customers head up the other end of the mall to kaffeino where they value excellent...
Read moreexcited for my usual morning treat. However, I noticed that the staff seemed quite reserved—no smiles or hellos, which made the atmosphere feel a bit cold. When I ordered a hot chocolate, I received a drink that was bitter rather than the comforting sweetness I was expecting. When I kindly asked if it could be changed, the staff's expressions made me feel awkward, as if I was at fault. I even found myself apologizing, which felt a bit strange considering the situation. I understand everyone has tough days, but a warm greeting and a willingness to help can make such a difference. I truly believe that with a bit more focus on customer service and a positive attitude,
