So i pre booked a table of 12 with one highcair for my Birthday. Even booked later in the night(8pm), as all other allocations were filled. However, when i arrived to Mildura Hogsbreath i found some of my group (w' small children) standing outside due to our table not being ready. So i went in to see what was happening. Only to be told that people had been seated at our table before our arrival, and that they had not yet received their food. And we were asked to wait up to 50mins!! for the table i had prebooked! i understand a small wait due to people taking longer than average to eat, but to sit someone at the table i had booked, to then ask us to wait almost an hour 9pm to be seated, with children which 8pm was alread a late booking on my behalf. But my kids were excited to try hogsbreath for the first time! My eldest was so upset he also left a reveiw tonight on google!! I was asked by 3 seperate staff multiple times if i had a booking?! I'd say yes give my name, theyd look out to the floor see my table occupied go to the kitchen to see how long on the food, come out look at the table then come back to the check in, to ask if i had a booking?! 3 staff asked me twice? This is unacceptable, and ruined many peoples night. Luckily a Very freindly and welcoming local cafe accepted our very late booking and served us amazing food.

Read moreI visited Hog’s Breath with my family to celebrate a special weekend, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
We ordered five traditional cut steaks (as opposed to the smaller “lite cut” option), but one of them was significantly undercooked — served blue, despite us clearly requesting it medium rare. It was sent back to the kitchen three times, yet each time it returned in nearly the same, undercooked condition.
On the third return, instead of correcting the steak properly, a “lite cut” steak was brought out — almost half the size of the other meals, even though we had ordered and paid for a traditional cut. This was completely unacceptable.
We were told that the chef would be coming out to speak with us, but that never happened. Instead, the manager’s son came out, rolled his eyes, and said, “The chef will not be coming out to speak to you.” His attitude was incredibly dismissive and unprofessional.
Later, the manager advised that a discount would be applied due to the poor experience. However, when we politely reminded him about it at the counter, he reacted with clear hostility — slamming a pen down on the desk and speaking to us in an aggressive tone.
This entire experience was incredibly poor, especially for what was meant to be a joyful family celebration. I will never be returning, and I strongly advise others...
Read moreOur recent visit to Hog’s Breath was a mixed bag — one bright light overshadowed by a truly disappointing experience.
Our waitress was absolutely lovely: warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive. She made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down and was easily the highlight of our visit.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet expectations. One of our group members ordered their steak medium-rare, but it was served rare — cold in the center and clearly undercooked. When we politely brought it to the attention of the older man working the register, the situation went downhill fast. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, he rolled his eyes, waved his hand dismissively in our faces, and muttered rude comments under his breath.
Even more concerning, we weren’t the only ones he treated this way. While we waited, we saw him act aggressively toward other guests — sarcastically telling one group "cheerio" and angrily tossing a stapler in frustration. It was uncomfortable to witness and completely uncalled for.
It’s a shame that such a great server had to be overshadowed by such poor behavior from someone who appeared to be in a managerial role. Customer service matters, and unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste...
